There is a general consensus that offenses in the NFL will come up with new wrinkles, schemes and looks (think Pistol offense) but eventually, almost always, defenses will figure them out.
IMO, that's pretty much happening across the NFL. There are exceptions of course with exceptional players beating defenses on pure gifted talent, but from Zimmer to Carroll to Buffalo, etc alot of defenses are catching up.
Running back is starting to make a comeback.
Running the ball and stopping the run will always be important. Just sometimes more obvious than others.
