Do you guys not understand how the economy of the internet works?

You - "I hate this guy, he shouldn't exist!  Here is a link to his clickbait."

The link itself, even if not clicked on, increases his revenue.   The major search engines will index this page and notate that there is an outbound link to that page.   This is a signal to Google, and other engines, that this page is of significant relevance.   The more inbound links to a website, the higher the ranking it gets and thus is more likely to appear in search results.   The more likely a page is to appear in search results the more likely it is to get clicked.   The more likely it is to get clicked, the higher the ad revenue is for the douchbags who operate it.

Stop feeding the trolls you claim to despise.
