Flynn/TD Pwning Everyone Ruthlessly

Which of his two passes isn't sitting well with you? Coming in with that huge lead after the Jennings injury put him in a really weird spot. It definitely felt like a "lets just get the hell out of here" approach from that point.

I wouldn't put too much stock in any one appearance, but I still think the NE game is closer to what you would get with Flynn.

I understand your point and don't mean to come off too negative but I can't see a team breaking the bank for him and handing him a starting job.

I don't think he has shown enough to get what some people are thinking.

lighten up OW. How does this even compare to kworst's Neal thread. There is a 5% chance Flynn puts on a GB uniform after this year. so you are ripping on me for a guy who will be playing for another team.

I was hoping for a better performance.. Obviously the sample size is tiny, but he hasn't looked like who I thought he was this year,.

McCarthy was also playing with the OL line-up yesterday... IIRC, at one point it was Sherrod @LT, Newhouse @RG, and EDS @C

Flynn is a good backup QB. I'm sure some team will pay him in FA but I don't expect Flynn to be much more than an average starting QB that is easily replaceable.

I don't expect any team to hand him a starting job and a big bag of cash, but some team will offer him an opportunity to compete for a starting job. I think Flynn has limitations, but he could win in the right situation.

The real question is "Is he any better than many of the 1st or 2nd round guys in the upcoming draft?" We'll let the professional scouts and GMs answer this one.

To be fair, the OL wasn't exactly stellar in pass protection yesterday and Grant's blitz pickups were lousy.

How many snaps does he get during the week? Prior to last years NE game he had a week of snaps and it showed.

It wouldn't surprise me if Flynn is starting on a team next year. There is a big shortage of average or better QB's in the league. His work in last years NE/GB game was very impressive IMO.

I predict something similar to Doug Pederson, he got his shot at starting in Philly and basically warmed the spot until they inserted high draft pick Don McNabb. Eventually ended up back in GB as backup / golf buddy to TOG.
That said Flynn is better than Pederson and may be able to transcend the stop gap role.

How's your sample going?

Flynn has been good, but two turnovers that led to ten points was not good.

flynn has played well but those turnovers are going to kill him come contract time.

He did the same thing against NE in such a small sample size what do you think other NFL teams are going to do?

Guy doesn't hardly play and you're knocking a couple turnovers? Yes, he's had them, but he also hasn't had a chance to play enough to get in the constant speed and flow. He'll go to a bottom feeder, get his chance, and do well enough to be more than serviceable. He's not another Rodgers, but he'll start for someone.

which is what i said at the beginning.

Some posters were expecting him to get the Franchise tag. this was meant more for them than to say flynn is no good.

I wish him the best he might have played himself into a bigger contract after this game.

I think at this point he has to be franchised, even at the expense of Finley. Someone would be willing to give up a package similar to Matt Cassel I would think.
