Because it's like football.

Because there's nothing else on.

Because I was asked to start this thread.

Because no one is actually going to watch this trash.

Becasue we're all tired of waiting on these two up and coming teams.

Because the color rush uni's tonight are going to be really bad. Some viewers might lose their eyesight for a few hours.

Because there are like 42 first round draft picks playing in this game I think. So that's something?

Becasue Roger needed a marquis matchup like this to reverse the plummeting Thursday Night ratings.

You can't drink this game pretty. This is going to be terrible. You've been warned.

I was going to post this right before kickoff. But really, who cares.

Bortles & Shame whine cooler thread?

Heres the thing. Roger pushed like crazy for three prime time games every week. That's six teams you have to come up with every week. You can't keep trotting NE, Pitt,  Dallas, GB, Seattle, and Denver out there every week for night games. Get past those teams and who's really moving the ratings needle?

In the end you're left with two bad teams in clown uni's trading punts. Its happening more and more so it's no wonder the ratings are down 20% for these games.

Well done Roger!

I'll always believe David Stern pushed Gary Bettman hard to get him the commish job knowing he'd set hockey back decades. He did. Hockey had a massive resurgence on ESPN for a long run. Gary killed that contract and put his product on a channel you have to work hard to find. Hard core hockey fans will always tune in. But Gary is truly horrible. Roger is giving Gary some run for incompetence.

I blame him more for the Marty Brodeur Memorial Trapezoid and the shootout.  (I turn off games before the shootout.)  The 29 boring teams were pissed that the best puck-handling goalie wasn't on an Original Six team.

From 1995 to 1998 Colorado - Detroit was the biggest must see sports event imaginable. It was just epic talent, skill, hatred, rivalry stuff of legendary proportions. ESPN did a masterful job of building it and selling it. The ice was just littered with the best hockey players on the planet with just the right mix of goons that truly HATED each other. That was a great run. FU Gary!!!!

Phil Sims with his typical diarrhea of the mouth talking about Derick Henry potentially being a Defensive End at Alabama

The kid ran for 14,000 yards in a city just outside of Jax----he wasn't no defensive end.

The Jags beat the Bears in Chicago.....

Get your head around that.

Gus Bradley is a fine man....the fact that three years in, his players are undisciplined and clueless...is on him.
