Similar to Grandal and Yelich I think Stearns is projecting better than historical power numbers from guys like Garcia and Narvaez playing at the bandbox that is Miller Park.  It’s not unreasonable to expect 25-30 HRs each from those two guys.

Not sure if they are slotting in Urias to play 3B but think that may be a hole to fill to complete the roster makeover.  It’s probably a total pipe dream but would Josh Donaldson consider a Grandal type 1 year contract with the Brewers?  Assume at his age he wants 3 years but if the Brewers offered 20-25MM would that do it?

Gonna miss Grandall and Moose, but it looks like Stearns is replacing WAR with pretty good value. What's nice is they still have salary flexibility to  make a significant move.

Was hoping they would re-sign Thames at less that his option. Oh well.

Really like how Stearns works. Winning in a small market is no easy task in MLB.

Stearns and Counsell just seem to have a knack for finding and coaching up the right guys who fit in with the team chemistry wise and can excel in their ballpark in the past 3 years.  No, they haven't been perfect (i.e. Jonathan Schoop) but they seem to know just the right time to acquire guys who maybe are just about to take a step forward in development.  They're not batting 100% in that department, but some of the moves they've made have really worked astoundingly well.

On paper, some may not like the moves the Brewers make, but as others have pointed out, maybe they're getting some diamonds in the rough here, and the Brewers might end up shining those things up into real diamonds.

For the Brewers to be competitive this coming year, they need better starting pitching.

On the depth chart right now is a guy who is 59-61 in his career (Brett Anderson) and 7 other potential starting pitchers that have 77 cumulative wins in their careers.

Will Woodruff, Anderson, Lindbloom, Houser, and Suter be enough to be competitive?

Perhaps the biggest question is which version of Corbin Burnes is real, the 2018 guy who looked like a legit #1/#2 starting pitching prospect or the 2019 version that looked like he was pitching for the home run derby. I think he and Woodruff are the guys with the most upside. The other guys are guys whose ceiling is to eat innings and have ERAs of around 4.50.
