Lots of consternation about the Crew's offseason. One way to look at it for 2020:
1B: Production should be higher with Smoak and Braun than what Jesus/ET/Misc provided last year.
2B: Full year of Keston = more production.
SS: Urias has to be better than Arcia, doesn't he?
3B: Gyroko/Sogard platoon I will check as a dropoff but reading other board the numbers over the last three years are quite closer than one might think.
C: Obviously the biggest dropoff.
OF: Cain, Yelly and Braun/Garcia should outproduce last year's group with a return to career norms for Cain and Garcia will outproduce Gamel.
Bench: Last year's was putrid. Will be improved with the platoons noted above.
SP: Last year's opening day rotation was Chacin, Peralta, Woodruff, Burnes and Davies. I have to think this year's will at least be comparable and the potential to be better if the 2018 version of Burnes is back.
RP: I will say that the return of Knebel and Wahl will improve this unit overall.
So, 6 'positions' will improve, 2 will dropoff and one is a push. At least thru C-Boy's blue and gold glasses.
