I would say a must win for both teams. Gophers after a great start and ranked in the top 10 have lost 3 in a row, including a horrible loss at Northwestern. Tubby even throwing players under the bus in posy game pressers.

Bucky, on the other hand, has lost two in a row since the upset at Indiana. I will also classify the Sparty loss as a "bad one."

Something's gotta give!

Go Bucky!

This team cannot shoot. Dreadful at the line and bad everywhere else. Jeff P. indicated Dekker has to learn to play better D to see floor time. Maybe his D isn't perfect but if you reverse that reasoning Evans, Jackson, Ginger and Brust need to shoot better to see floor time. Maybe we need to start Mante T'eo's girlfriend. He (she) can shoot equal to Evans.
If this team has any sack at all, they win convincingly. Marshall needs to learn how to integrate his style of play I to what they're doing. Good article in the JSO about that- he's their best penetrator and as such can creat more for the spot up shooters. Better rhythm shots should help the scoring droughts.

If they can start piecing together the various little positives they have been able to create the last few weeks, they could peak come Tourney time...

I will agree that they should win at home if Indiana wasn't a complete fluke but don't underestimate the Gophers. They are again underachieving as they have every year under Smith but they have a ton of talent and athleticism. Be interesting to see if they continue to melt down or rebound and save their season.

Based on the recent performances of these two juggernauts they should change the rules and let the forst one to 50 win, that's if either one gets to 50.

Over or under, 5 minute field goal drought fot the Badgers?

I posted this somewhat tonge in cheek but looks spot on. I did not see the game, not on out here. From reports it was brutal.....any long scoreless stretches?

I caught something watching this- Ryan Evans goes "lazy eye" right as he shoots the FT. Might have something to do with the plummeting FT %?

Looks like he has an exotropia, but it might just look that way due to the camera angle. Chances are if he has one, it's there all the time and he's got no real stereo vision and relatively poor depth perception. I'm guessing if that's the case that he has learned to compensate for this as people do (assuming it's been there for most of his life).
Seriously, if you have good form and practice enough free throws ... anyone should be able to shoot free throws with their eyes closed.

I listened to Rick Barry(and he did it underhanded) once talk about it and Rocket Rod Foster chat about it,
so I then did what they said, it works. Too bad I was out of high school before I listened. Smiler

Its calculated: Center yourself to the rim, have your legs spread enough to be outside the rim on either side, bring the ball to the center of your body, shooting hand under ball so that elbow ends up at yur nose on the shot, limp wrist so you can get good snap allowing for good backspin on shot and start with bent knees and slight lean forward and then go to shoot. You are not shooting the ball as much as you are trying to ge it over front of rim, the ball amazingly deadens. By setting up as they said I never thought I was shooting into space as much as putting it into the 24" or so imaginary alley from the line to the rim, trying to move only the arm and elbow up while the wrist snaps on the shot with everything being in line.
If you've ever heard pitchers taught, thats their fundamental approach also if they have good form.

I'm not an expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night !!
