37-15 at home

In all of my years watching this team it might be the most one sided embarassing loss I can recall

This Minnesota team is a joke.  Yet they came into your house and dominated

Just forfeit the damn meaningless bowl game and work on next year.  And and I am Chryst you had better step it up this ain’t Kirk Ferentz and his lame lifetime contract

I hope you understand that these two things don't jive with each other.  No bowl game and there is no extra work.  This season sucks balls, but these young guys need all of next months practices for the piece of shit bowl.

Oh I get it. You’re hunting.  Did that 2 point buck shoot you?  Because that’s the equivalent of what happened today.

Your tagline “Badgers own Goophers” ax whatever many years is tired and now officially retired.

I guess hunting allowed you to respond so whatever.  Props to you.  Hope PJ Fleck doesn’t read this site he might trademark your bunk ass comments.  With or without alcohol.

Go sleep it off.  And then get some help and therapy.

What extra work could possibly allow Hornibrook to suck more?

I get it play the kids allow them to take their lumps but they have the last 4-5 weeks.  No stupid 5th rate bowl game will make a difference.

Q1- Probably none.  So the **** what?  Piss and moan about a shitty bowl all you want, this team needs as many reps as possible.

Follow up statement- More reps makes a difference.  It is essentially something more than nothing.

It was a shit season from a horribly overrated team.  But you are essentially the guy who says better to not make the tournament than lose in the second round.

It’s a lot more than just the young DBs and the coverage.   Their run defense this year at times was horrific.  200+ allowed against the Gophers was embarassing.

Nelson and Baun played OK this year but they need to replace Connelly, Van Ginkel, Edwards, and Dixon.  Maybe Sagapulo as well.

Offensively they should be fine.  Need to have the younger OL step up but depth should be there. Bottom line they need a QB.  Someone that can muster more than 15 points against the likes of Minnesota.

I don't think we need to worry about or D-coordinator getting poached this year.

Obviously losing these linebackers will be a big deal, but there is talent in Orr and Sandborn and Grady come highly regarded (doesn't mean shit til is shows on the field, I get it).  Getting a healthy Loudermilk and Rand should make a huge difference to the run defense (health always being a wildcard).

I'd say the chances of Sagapolo coming back is 0%, maybe less.

Listening to KFAN this morning, it is amazing what a big this win is to them. I personally thought the Gophers would win once I saw that Hornibrook was starting.

This was just a bad year that maybe this program was just due for. Other than the horrendous QB play add in:

  • Injuries
  • The preseason Cephus thing.
  • Massive losses on the defensive side of the ball from the previous year.
  • General overrated-ness.
  • Underachieving OL.

Personally, the OL play is what was so disturbing this season.

The veteran leadership was just not there this year.  Injuries did have an impact for sure.  But what was shocking to me is the coaching.  At times this year they have looked overmatched.  That’s shocking.

PJ Fleck is a complete idiot.  He’s in the Jim Wacker and Tim Brewster category.  Yet he ran circles around Chryst and Co.   Unreal on so many levels.

Need to regroup and get back to square one.  Pray that Mertz sticks and get after it in 2019 because this season is dead and buried.

I thankfully only saw a little bit of this game and missed the Goofers with the Axe.

This season to me is over and looking back I think the main factors were injuries, losing so many players on defense and Horriblebrook's play.  I had a feeling that once you had to move OL over to play DL because you are so depleted it was going to be a long year on defense.

But, all that being said I do think next year could be lining up to be pretty good.  Why? there won't be any expectations, Chryst has been recruiting well, young players got valuable experience, and the schedule looks to be pretty doable.
