It's good to know your place. Congratulations.
Now can we get back to discussing Guntus blowing the Biggus Dickus pick?
No, I'm not going to edit that sentence.

I think Steve might be laughing at both of you right now. Mission accomplished. Trolls apparently are effective. Let it go.
All this thread needs is posts complaining about how Aikman & Buck are bias against the Packers
If you guys want to bitch at each other, call each other names and point out each other's BMI index, Sign up for Rube Shat where it's a common practice.

Who is Steve? Steve of Norway?
Steve of Norway, best friend of Tom of Finland.
More seriously, don't we also have a SteveLuke?
Yes. My post was a veiled reference to some other bullshit nothing more.

BMI Index? ð
As opposed to the ASCAP index, obviously.
King played really well against the Chiefs which is really representative of the issue with him- you never know if you'll be getting a very good cover corner or the player we all saw against the Bucs.
Problem has never been talent; it's been consistency and availability.
This guy doesn't look like the same one we've seen for the last year.

I'm as big "Throw King out with the bath water" as anybody , but he did have a back issue before that Tampa game. I fault the team not having a viable back up more than anything.
(When available) Kevin King is better than Chandon, Shemar and Isaac, and no worse than Rasul. He has a purpose on this yearâs team, especially with Jaire out for an extended period of time.
A healthy King is a pretty good CB.
the obvious other side of that coin is obvious
IMHO King is playing with a much greater "sense of urgency" this season. Much more willing tackler, better stance pre snap (not standing up), just seems much more motivated.
That and he is a free agent at seasons end. Putting some stuff on tape.
He was a free agent at the end of 2020 as well. That contract year didn't work out very well.
I really haven't observed any correlation between King's play and his health or contract status. Think the inconsistency is just who he is as a player.
It's possible that King has caught the defensive "fever", and wants to get a dose of it himself. I'd sure like to see him play above his abilities for the last 8 games.
I won't hold my breath, however.

$4 Million ain't nothing to sneeze at.
I doubt he was aiming for a 1 year prove it deal after a contract season.
This one goes out to all the Kevin King haters...

King is currently @PFF's 9th highest-graded CB on the season.
It hasn't always been pretty, but he's so much better than people give him credit for.
Maybe the various injuries were the reason for his drop off in play at various times.
But when King misses, he tends to miss big in crucial moments. That's the biggest problem IMO. Injuries have robbed him of the physical ability we saw at the combine, mentally he seems to be above average, but there's only so much of a difference that can make.
Play just before the half against the Bucs was a mental mistake. Saw where he got 33% of the defensive snaps yesterday (Douglas at 69%).
Any word on Kevin King's market?
In addition to the studs like J.C. Jackson, plenty of journeymen CBs such as Mike Hughes and Artie Burns have already been signed. Heck old man Casey Hayward got a deal as did Chandon Sullivan and Isaac Yiadom from last year's Packer squad.
King is only 26, yet have not heard a peep about him landing anywhere this offseason.
The interest in King around the rest of the NFL seems to be about as hot as it was last offseason when no other team made a serious bid for his services and for some inexplicable reason he was brought back on.deal that resulted in him still counting $3M against this year's (2022) cap.
With not much behind the exciting top 3 CBs currently on roster, there is no chance of the Front Office bringing back the Pack's top pick of the 2017 draft for one more run at glory is there?
Iâm thinking itâs his recent injury issues scaring teams away. Missed 7 regular season games last year and 5 the year before. Has only 1 INT in the regular season the past 2 years.
Some guys just donât have the body to make it thru a grueling NFL season and he seems to be one of those guys.
King just can't make it through a season. A significant injury would actually make me feel better about his health, as tearing an ACL, Achilles, bicep, etc. is often just bad luck. King's injuries are minor, nagging, and consistent. Dude can't make a tackle without having to go out a few plays to recover.
My brother and I joke that King should just play every other game. He'd likely play just as many snaps than trying to play a full season, as he wouldn't be leaving in the middle of games. Probably time to move on unless he comes back at the vet minimum with game bonuses.
