Obviously, TT and Dom's fault for not being aware that Greene would leave.

Good luck to him, and I can't believe there aren't 32 teams that would offer Greene an opportunity when the time comes.

just move Edgar Bennett to LB coach already. Might as well. He did well with RBs and then did well with the receivers. Lets see what knowledge he can input with LBers. Cant be any less than Winston Moss has....

Hmmmm. Kudos to him if this is the case and he needs to pull away for a while. Can't help but wonder if this the first crack in McCarthy/Capers defensive fortress from the coaching standpoint. We've watched it start to crumble on the field. What's next?

I still remember in the NFC Championship Game when Greene blitzed TOG and had TOG wrapped up and TOG was able to wiggle loose enough to shovel a pass off for key first down.  I think TOG burned Greene a couple times in that game.

Well, good for him to focus on family.  Truth is I don't know why more asst coaches don't leave for similar reasons.

Just wondering who else is bound for different pastures.  I hope EGB sticks around, Edgar was one of my all-time faves as a Packer.

Probably a wise choice to spend time with his kids, it's not like working on a Capers-led defense is going to add anything to your resume.

Wonder if these are isolated incidents or if the natives (coaches) are getting restless under MM?

I, for one, would enjoy that.

I mean him coaching the Packers LB'ers.... not showing his ass

I don't see that. The guy worked miracles this year with a UDFA in Mulumba and position switch by Neal.  He certainly hasn't had a lot of top-shelf talent to work with during his 5 years.

This would not shock me. I have a hard time seeing Thompson and friends standing pat after what we've seen from this defense the last couple years, regardless of injuries. There has got to be pressure coming from the board of directors to fix this asap. I have the feeling this won't be the only change. Hopefully Ted also will take some of the blame. We'll see if he changes his philosophy on how they acquire talent going forward.

Signing Free Agents is easy.  Figuring out how to do it and still sign players like Arod, CMIII, Cobb, Nelson, Shields, etc is the difficult part.

Many fans scratch their head in amazement why TT doesn't jump into the bidding wars of FA.  It's just not that simple

I think this is a sign we may be getting the hybrid 34/43 D that we have been asking for. While it's not uncommon to have a DE and DT coach, training 43 Ends is not exactly Greene's forte. They can consolidate the staff a little by having Trgovac work with the DEs and Moss work with the OLBs (cringe! It should have been him!). Either way it's a loss, Greene's fire and energy I think was an asset.

I don't think we have to worry about TT getting caught up in any bidding wars but it seems as if he's trying to prove something by staying out of it altogether. There could be no more to this than what's been reported. I don't think there's a simple solution and wouldn't want them to start over in terms of coaching or go hog=wild in free agency. The Packers need to take a hard look at everything if their going to get better.
