That could be as well. And photoshop can do wonders as well. Just hard to imagine a player trying this hard to burn his bridge this badly so soon after leaving his former team.
Hell, I imagine even TOG would be impressed..

scrub receiver on an 0-2 team
"Ponder Sucks" would have been the appropriate phrase there.
Just tweeted the pic to Greg Jennings himself and asked if he wrote it. Let's see if he responds.
I sure would like to hear from Greg's sister. She's been quiet since he left the "brainwashers" at 1265.
Let me know how that goes Boris. I tweeted at him the day he signed with mn that Ted took a risk on a small school receiver high in the draft when mn passed on him a couple times prior to that. It was on his twitter for a few hours but disappeared right around lunch time that day.
This puts Jennings in an interesting position of either confirming that he's an ass or denying it and his animosity toward the Packers. Although I suppose he could simply let his spokesister address the issue for him.
Gerg has gone from malcontent to cock.
Seriously dude? Build a bridge and GTF over it...
While I may not be beef..........

Even though it was always very transparent and phony, Brett always at least made an attempt to act as if he bore no ill will against the Packers when speaking to the media. Greg hasn't even made the slightest attempt to do so. It's only going to get worse as the season progresses, I suspect.
IC
Jennings was dependent on and overshadowed by Rodgers and he resents it.
I don't think he was too fond of Cobb's ascension either
" There is only one wide receiver with at least 200 receiving yards while lining up in the slot, and that is Randall Cobb. He has 236 yards on 16 targets as well as two touchdowns."

Something is just not right here. If he's shallow and small-minded, I can understand his jealousy of Rodgers and Cobb. But why does he have so much hatred for the Packer organization? It doesn't make sense unless there's an understory that we haven't heard about. I never heard any stories about the team not treating him as a star.
On a related note, I was looking at the numbers today and noticed that Jennings would be just the 5th ranked receiver on the Packers. Of course, his case is not helped by having Ponder throwing him the ball and also him being overshadowed by Peterson.
Wild guess:
Jenning's contract and Rodger's contract were up at the same time. Jennings thought they would both get paid and Rodgers would give some to keep him around. When Rodgers didn't Jennings diaper got soggy.
He knew who was throwing it to him and about Peterson before he signed. He didn't go into it blind. He may be regretting it now but karma will up and bite you in the butt, especially if all you are going after is the money.
Rodgers gets paid. Clay gets paid. Greg watches GB shrink their previous offer. GB currently $10.8 million under the cap. Greg doesn't merely soil his diaper but wildly s***ts himself and runs to the warm embrace of mediocrity.
Wonder if the Jennings family gathered around the TV tonight for Greatest Games... probably no.
Let's also remember there were several reports that he was offered a contract extension in or around Aug 2012 for 9-10 mil a year if I remember right. He refused thinking he'd get 11-13 mil a year. Then he goes from an unspecified abdominal strain in the beginning of that year to a sports hernia and those contract expectations along with the Packers offer go *poof* when he puts up less then stellar numbers.
I don't see how that equate to this all being GB/TT's fault
I don't think Jennings regrets anything. He went to Pro Bowls and won a ring with Green Bay. Now he's making $9 million a year with Minnesota. Pretty sure he already knows Pro Bowls and a ring are things of the past.
It all depends on what you play the game for. If you're only after the moola, then Jennings has done the best he could have. If you play to become a champion, then Jennings should have regrets. TT, MM and GB acted professionally and Jennings should have nothing to complain about. It's time for Jennings to act a little more professionally.
The lady, according to the tweet shared in this thread, asked him to write it.. This isn't his standard Sig..
Non-story.. He was just being accommodating to a fan.
The offer GB had on the table was for $11 million per and Jennings wanted $15 million per. His injuries clearly impacted his market value, but even under ideal circumstances he misjudged his worth and is fortunate the Queens were desperate and willing to overpay for his services.

You're just another brainwashed Packer

Wouldn't say it's a non-story, but I certainly wouldn't lump it in with the gratuitous shots he took at AR and the Packer organization.

Yep. If Jennings should be mad at anyone it's his agent for not convincing him to take the original Packer deal. They should have jumped at it. Bird in the hand and all that.
Would anyone else be fine with this helmet thing if it turns out to be true? Running his mouth and griping about his former organization and teammates is one thing, but I see this as just playful rivalry stuff for a fan. She might have even requested he write that.
He's taken a sad tumble as a player and person, but I'm not losing sleep over this latest instance.
Greg Jennings: "I'll take Brett."
Green Bay Packers: "Take Greg? Thanks, but no thanks."
I love #85. What a great, classy Packer. Seems like a great guy and a great teammate.
I don't pay attention to #15. He's not a Packer. What he says/does off the field really is insignificant to me.
I just checked out nfl.com > stats> receiving yards.....If I'm not mistaking, Jennings isn't listed....
He's there, you just have to go past the 51 players ahead of him.
Jennings more or less confirmed his signature by refusing to comment about it at practice yesterday. He appeared to be a good teammate for most of his time with the team, but frustration from injuries and the emergence of Randall Cobb turned him into a bit of a malcontent.
Jason Wilde has an interesting article on the jennings saga:
There are several gems in that article. This is one of my fav's:
And before the pads even went on in training camp last year, he made it clear that he didn’t think the Packers wanted to re-sign him, even though multiple sources have said the Packers made Jennings an offer that averaged between $10 million and $11 million per year – and Jennings told them there was no reason to talk to him unless the offer was for $16 million a year.
Very good read.
That is the kind of article Wilde is good at... not the x' & o's.
My fav line: They’ll meet Oct. 27 at the Metrodome and Nov. 24 at Lambeau Field, where Jennings figures to be mercilessly booed, if inaccurate quarterback Christian Ponder hasn’t gotten him hurt by then.
Thanks for the link MNPackman, good writeup. I remember when the Packers drafted Jennings and he remarked about how Michigan didn't offer him a scholarship so he went to Western Michigan to be in their backyard and remind them they made a mistake not recruiting him. Looking back he's had a chip on his shoulder his whole career. Perhaps that's what he needs to motivate him. The nice guy persona is just that, a role he plays to cover up his need to be stroked. Ponder that...
Ted removed emotion from the equation and looked at what receivers were worth to drive the offense in the big picture of the cap going forward.
Ted knows TEAM football better than Greg. That's why he's in Minny today.
Go Pack!
Jennings didn't appear to be negotiating like a guy interested in bridging the differences and remaining with the team. The money is much better spent on an emerging superstar named Cobb than an aging and brittle player with a questionable attitude.
