It's a loss. He did a fine job with the draft. He has successfully left the franchise in a better place than when he arrived. We're it not for horrible luck (Bogut) his gamble on Jennings might have paid off.

But he seemed to really not know what to do with them once they were here. The Plumlee re-signing, Henson extension, Sanders deal... all huge wasted cap space. They successfully got out of the Plumlee deal, but they're still paying for Sanders and Henson's contract is a brick necklace. And the trading away of Tobias Harris for a 3 month rental of Reddick was one of his worst moves.

A mixed bag, for sure. But Giannis is the crown jewel- a generational player at 15... it's the stuff legends are made of. If Maker does the same after being picked 10th, they could be the two greatest draft picks in NBA history.

There has to be something else going on here.  Hammonds was a very good GM.  He built the Pistons that won a ring and came to Milwaukee and added a lot of decent players.  Problem is they have only a couple of first round playoff exits to show for it.

It's not his fault Sanders was a head case and not sure anyone saw that coming after he looked poised to become a real force.  He also parlayed Brandon Jennings for Brandon Knight and Kris Middleton.   Pretty good deal.

Parker and Giannis were brilliant picks.  Brogdon looks really good and I think Maker has star power.

He missed on Alexander big time and tr Tobias Harris trade was a disaster but if you look as his body of work I hope the Bucks don't look back and regret this move.

Yes, a mixed bag. He was great in the draft, but some of the trades and the contracts have hurt the team.

He has culpability in the Sanders deal- it's his job to assess a player to understand if he is worth long term money. Much like the Henson deal, the Plumlee deal... were they bidding against themselves? These deals proved to be bad moves.

And don't forget though he got Knight and Middleton for Jennings, but he gave up Knight for MCW who turned into Snell.

He is a tremendous evaluator in the draft. Not that him getting Parker was "genius", but getting Giannis was. Maker may prove to be. Jennings was a great pick where it was, and he got decent value with many of the others.

I just don't trust Kidd as it sounds like he tends to meddle behind the scenes and he was the one that pushed for the MCW trade.  IMO that was as bad if not worse than the Redick deal.  Thankfully Hammonds bailed him out by exchanging him for Snell.

Nothing we can do about it now but I do not want to return to the Larry Harris days.
