The funny thing is if Giannis retired today heโ€™s already accomplished as much if not more in his sport than Aaron Rodgers has in the NFL.

Keep the dysfunction and hate and frustration away from the Bucks and Giannis.  Theyโ€™ve lived that crap already.  Itโ€™s called the George Karl era.

Having one screwed up situation with one of your favorite sports teams is bad enough.  Badgers basketball doesnโ€™t count.

Again, who drew that cartoon?  Did the Bucks management give Giannis a supermax contract while actively going out to get more talent or tell him to shut up and play so they could "build for the future"?

BTW, the Bucks are an afterthought in Wisconsin sports unless they are winning.  Your new TJ Bucks campaign is a bunch of front runner crap.

Oh, another thing.  It's a different sport.

The way I understand it, even as minority owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, he didnโ€™t attend any playoff games in Milwaukee during the run to the NBA Championship.

If that is the case, that sounds like a guy trying to begin to sever ties to this state.  Maybe he actually came to some games and I missed it, but I thought his absence was just kind of weird.  Heck I remember sitting across the floor from him at a playoff game vs the Raptors some years back.

Anyways, itโ€™s just more useless speculation on my part, but I would think if he didnโ€™t have any crazy plans different than his typical offseason activities, he would have come to the Bucks games.

Yeah heโ€™s being a **** on purpose and clearly has been all offseason. If you canโ€™t see hes 50% of the problem then youโ€™re delusional. Contract negotiations are normal and donโ€™t have to be contentious, weโ€™ve heard Davante commenting on his contract situation like a normal grown adult. Murphy may have fucked the situation up from the start, but Rodgers is escalating it and making it 1000x worse than it needs to be. He took his $6M roster bonus and heโ€™s just needling whoever his adversary is at this point.

Right. Front runners.  Thatโ€™s a hot take and it might be some fans but letโ€™s get something straight.

I followed and stuck with the Bucks basically since I was little kid and Iโ€™m nearly 50 now.  Basketball is my favorite sport and always has been.  I love hoops, not just the NBA.  The NCAA tourney is the best sporting event there is (IMO).

So save your labels.  Youโ€™re just pissy and canโ€™t at all be objective about the situation because youโ€™re such Rodgers fan boy.  And yes Iโ€™ve spent enough time in this state to know itโ€™s all about the Packers all the time.  By my main point is people can follow whomever and whatever team they want and I think you are selling yourself as a fan short if you donโ€™t take the time to watch a team like the Bucks.  Or the Brewers.

Maybe you hate those other sports, I donโ€™t know.  What I know is the NFL is becoming less and less interesting for a number of reasons and this latest episode/drama with the Packers surely doesnโ€™t help matters.

@Grave Digger

Agreed.  The issue is this, it never should've happened in the first place because, you know, maybe kinda managing people and relationships.

Not sure if you honestly think this is still a contract negotiation with Rodgers at this point because that would be straight up silly.  Adams negotiations may be standard stop and start tactics but it's pretty clear it's also about people with him at this point.

Maybe there's a problem with how the FO operates?  It's just me, and we all know this is just out of left field, but maybe we should be more concerned with how management is operating rather than some bullshit instagram posts.

Good thing there's a Bucks forum.

Objective.  Yes, that happens in a forum with a bunch of highly opinionated posters.  You're objective.  Got it.

I'm a Super Bowl fanboy.  Funny how you just can't seem to respond to the comparison of how the Bucks won a championship because management took care of their super star player and listened to his input while actively trying to surround him with the best talent.

I don't give two shits if Rodgers punches cancer patients in the face (which I'm sure has been confirmed by certain Packers fans now), he's the guy who can be the one monstrous piece the Shanahan offense needs to actually win a championship with the help of even a top 10 defense instead of a behemoth defense.

Yes, objective.

Maybe he was in a private box?

Yep. At some point, the clown show that this is becoming needs to end. Oh, and I also feel for LaFleur. He didn't ask for any of this shit show.

Wait, so Rodgers is making Adams, a grown man, do his biding?  W.T.F. is wrong with people?

Rodney is blaming Rodgers for Adams actions in Adams contract negotiations with the FO dopes?  So Adams and his representatives are negotiating with the assholes in the FO and itโ€™s Rodgers fault.

โ€œHereโ€™s hoping fans arenโ€™t as stupid this summer as they were in 2008โ€.

Well Rodney, you just blew that prospect out of the water.

Edited to when Rodgers was 26.

Is that Super Bowl MVP thing good?  Obviously not as good as an NBA title of course but it sounds pretty good.

I mean when youโ€™re doing cross sports comparisons to 5 guys who can freely move on the court to 11 guys who line up in set positions on a field and pound the fuck out of each other (Friday night?) that Super Bowl MVP thing seems pretty good.

Iโ€™m not sure why Iโ€™m comparing the middling titles of the NFL to the greatness of the NBA.  Silly me.

Hi Tom, question for you.  If your QB can actually hatch such an amazing scheme, drawing upon his minions on the team, to outmaneuver the guys who are actually running the team is it possible thereโ€™s a problem with the guys running the team?

Diabolical!  Rodgers planned a 16 year career, winning a Super Bowl, multiple pro bowls and MVPs just to cover for this day!

Holy shit, people have lost their damn minds.  This is solid entertainment.

I donโ€™t think heโ€™s saying Rodgers is roping these guys into the plan, I think heโ€™s saying that guys are capitalizing on the negative PR GB is currently receiving to pressure GB to get some public wins. Rodgers knows heโ€™s winning the PR battle every time a story about Adams, ZSmith, whoever being disgruntled comes out. GB should have squashed this in April unless Rodgers is drawing it out on purpose.

Is that why heโ€™s calling all of this โ€œRodgers Revengeโ€?  Maybe Tom is a dullard but wouldnโ€™t that imply some kind of coordinated plan rather than other stand alone issues with other players the FO also fucked up?
