People have been asking me which team I like for winning today's SB and who will actually win it.    Well, this is NOT a prediction of the score since it is not possible, but I REALLY would like BOTH teams to LOSE today.  So, I may turn it on at the very end just to see who does lose, but cannot see myself wasting a whole evening watching these two teams.   Now if someone can figure out how my desire to have both teams lose, can occur, I might actually watch the game.

Most SBs that don't involve GB are ho-hum affairs. But, I think it will be interesting to see how Manning plays his chess game against Seattle's defense. This game could easily swing on an injury, much like the Niners' defense wasn't as effective when Bowman went out. Not wishing an injury on anyone, just an observation...

salesman yesterday: "Got plans for the game tomorrow?"

me: "What game?"

salesman: "Oh you're one of those guys."

me: "Season ended weeks ago."

I'm with ya Bob but I'll casually watch with the mute button handy.  I'll be surprised if I find myself rooting for either team at any point unless some player does something so cheap and disgusting it provides a tide.

edit: it would please me if "defense wins championships" is once again validated.

Some of my favorite Super Bowls had nothing to do with the Pack.

That Rams/Patriots Super Bowl in 2002 was tremendous and I rooted hard against the Rams.  I loved that game.  Loved the Giants beating the undefeated Patriots in 2008.

Sometimes there are some ho-hum matchups and this year is sort of one of them.  Rooting more for Peyton Manning and the Broncos, I'll never quite get why some people don't like Manning but to each his own I guess.

I invest so much time in the NFL all season long I can't imagine not watching the Super Bowl.  It's always tough when the Packer season ends, but this seems to set up to be an interesting game - #1 offense vs #1 defense.

Gimme the D - 24-23.

It doesn't look like weather or wind will be too much of a factor.

Some rain near kickoff but wind less than 5 MPH.

Prediction: As long as Denver doesn't turn the ball over, this game won't even be close. Denver is going to do to the Seattle defense what Rodgers & Green Bay was going to do in the NFC Championship game had they gotten there.

I think Seattle will turn the ball over a few times.

That Rams/Patriots Super Bowl in 2002....

I remember that game.  That's the year that the Cheatriots got caught and admitted to filming the Rams walk-through practice while they worked on their 2-minute drills for defense and offense.  Which the game ended up coming down to...hmm....

When was the last time the Cheatriots won a SuperBowl?  The last time they cheated.

That is not the year they got caught. The correct year is 2007 where they went 16-0 & lost the Super Bowl to the Giants.

Yes. You are correct.  I didn't explain my post very well.

I had meant to write it that that Super Bowl game (against the Rams in 2002) was mentioned in the report on their cheating (which was uncovered 5 years later).  I made it sound like they got caught right after that Super Bowl.  That was not my intention.  thanks.

I think it's going to be a very entertaining game. Forget the commercials and Bruno Mars, this is going to be an exciting game.  The Pack will be back on the big stage next year.  Cheering for Russell Wilson and Chris Maragos today.

Rooting against the 'hags today. I hope Sherman is toasted repeatedly.

Edit: I wanted to say I hope Sherman is beat like a red-headed step-child but that is probably not politically correct. My apologies in advance to red-heads and step-children.

I'm rooting for Sailor Jerry and Pepsi One right now!

Well, I sure was fooled.  I just cannot believe the current Choke!
