pretty amazing and this helps fans understand why there is a Rule of 46 in the first place

It was done for competitive balance in situations just like this one

IF the roster was 53 active on Sundays then Cleveland could potentially suit up 53, while GB only has 43 available.

The other reason for the limits on game day actives was to keep coaches from using gimmick players. IE- a 7 ft TE who only blocks FGs, or a having 425 lb fullback for 3rd and 1.

Doesn't anyone else feel it's curious that there's been so little talk online about

who our skill guys will be on offense on Sunday?

At WR there's Jordy.  Man he's going to be double-covered all day.  Boykin and AR weren't on the same page at all next week.  I've heard no talk at all about Myles White this week, which makes me wonder if he's also not in sync with AR yet.  Sure, we've got Finley and Lacy, but I think many weapons make us much more dangerous.  I'm wondering if Stoneburner might get some throws.  I thought he was really promising in preseason.

Is Franklin playing this week?  I'd sure like to see some screens to he or Lacy.

I'll be interested to see how much they use Myles White. I feel like he can make plays when he gets the ball in his hands. He's got the speed (4.42 40-time) and quickness. His forte in college was catching the deep ball. He's always played with kind of a chip on his shoulder after getting booted out of MSU by Dantonio.

Boykin is a bigger, better route runner and will have to catch the ball when he's open (because he will be). But he doesn't quite have the possession skills that White has.

Not sure how much of White we're going to see though.

You would like to see WRs eased into the system. An example is Driver. He had some success as the 5th through the 3rd WR. When he finally got to start, he did well from the get go.

If they are rushed, their first few games are often mediocre. Like Boykin last week.

So I would be surprised if White does much. Knowing the brains running the offense, they will probably use the new guy, who is fatter and therefore, obviously, better as he can use that pot to slap away DBs.

there's a reason guys are on the GBP - cuz they can ball and are typically football smart.

I'm not expecting much of a dropoff.  But sure, as green as they are, we may see an AR INT today because the WR ran the route wrong or read the defense wrong compared to AR.  Doubtful it makes enough difference to lose the game.

at least that's my expectation and hope.
