Thanks Timmy. Is the guest room clean?

Mrs Blair Kiel  and me and Tyson the doggie evacuated last night and are 10-15 miles safely inland from the storm surge in a very nice hotel compliments of all those damn nights I stay at Holiday Inn Expresses.

This might be life altering, not gonna sugar coat it. But hey, we were kind of sick of the old art and furniture anyway.

Wishing the best to all else here who will be affected.

Not worried about the Packer stock certificate--that can be replaced. I had to do some serious negotiating with Mrs. Blair Kiel to grab the valuable football and baseball cards especially since I didn't grab the family photos----priorities!

Hi, my wife and I was able to move about 12 miles inland. I had some trouble getting gas. My home (Folly Beach, SC) is only 3 feet above sea level on a coastal island so riding it out there was not an option. Surfers are pissed because of the evacuation order. lol. Yet there a lot of idiots in news trucks on our island.

St. Augustine (20 miles South of our house) is under water at the beachfront. Houses 100's of years old in danger. Local news still showing idiots sitting in their homes.

Howdy.

Fingers crossed--we have another hour of winds that could knock out power where were staying.

In our subdivision, we have neighbors who stayed (dum dums) who are giving updates via e-mail. Lots of debris, but minor flooding and a "few" trees down--as long as one of the few trees is not on Casa de Keil, I'm good.

Authorities are saying they won't allow residents back to the beaches until at least Sunday. I still have 2.5 bottles of wine, so this is looking favorable.

If I'm holed up in a hotel room trying to get updates from friends, family, and neighbors I'd get through 2.5 bottles of wine faster than Eddie Lacy getting through an order of sweet and sour chicken.

I am trapped at my brother-in-laws place and he is talking my ear off! Can hardly hear the wind.

That's where 2.5 bottles of wine would come in handy. Just sayn'.

I live 5 miles north of St. Augustine.  I shuttered up my house, and I evacuated to Orlando yesterday.  Good thing I did because St. Augustine got hit hard.  I don't what I will be going home to.

Best of luck neighbor....me neither.

Somebody on our street posted a video driving down our street (but didn't get to my house) About every 5th home had a tree down in the yard....

PS.

Henry got thrown out of Florida as part of the storm preparation----something about profiling potential looters.

You can only delay the inevitable.  Boob Monkey will be mine.

We're up in NC but still have gotten pounded by rain and 50mph wins the last 24 hours. the worst part is just passing our coast now.

at least got to see my 'Pack pound the Irish in a monsoon

hope my friends to the south are all safe, dry and with minimal damage
