Favre already dismantled the Packers twice last year. What do you want from the guy. Your like a bad gambler that keeps losing then says lets make it 2 out of 3, etc until a win. The Packers should have beat the Vikings in Lambeau last year and failed miserably. Have to look inward.

Simple fact is Favres teams have had better records than the Packer teams without him.
Random Favre thoughts to try to educate the braindead rubes.

- Favre wasn't going to be a Packer because Rodgers wasn't going to be made to sit a 4th year.

- They begged him to retire so they didn't have to face the heat of forcing him out of Green Bay, nor to have to face him on a different team.

- They exiled him to a unfamiliar situation in NY, a team coming off a 4 win season. Favre led the Jets to a better record than the Packers had.

- Favre was then able to go to the Vikings, his preferred destination as its the same offense, familiar coaches, and only a qb away from being a really strong team.

- Favre once again led his team to a better record than the Packers, including two dominating performances against the Packers, and took the eventual Super Bowl champs to the limit on the road. Contrary to how the rubes want to paint it, Peterson being a fumbling machine along with major costly fumbles by Harvin and Berrian lost the game.

Lets contrast that to the McNabb situation for example. At least some similarities in that they had a young qb they weren't going to have sit another year. They had to trade McNabb and sent him to a team within the division for the most compensation possible.

The Eagles have no real fear of facing McNabb. The Packers obviously had fear of facing Favre by sending him to NY and a justifable fear considering how good he has continued to be and dismantled the Packers both times.

And it begs the question if they are so fearful of facing him, maybe it would have been smarter to keep him rather than trade him. If Favre has a better record this year, it will be 3 years in a row since his exit that his teams have had a better record.

If Thompson hadn't been so spiteful and sent him to a more comfortable situation such as Tampa, he probably would have never ended up on the Vikings. They would have kept him surrounded with guys like Gruden, Mariucci, etc and got him a couple more weapons. And I'm sure he would like the change of being in warmer weather being a southerner.

In a nutshell you guys sound like a bunch of two year olds playing in a sand box acting like someone that doesent know your alive took your shovel. Do you honestly think Favre would want to be on the Vikings if they had a crappy supporting cast, unfamiliar system, and unfamiliar coaches. This ideal situation for him could have been in Detroit, St. Louis, Kansas City, wherever. But it wasn't, its in Minnesota.

If you hate that he ended up in Minnesota, blame Thompson.

If you guys were smart, instead of doing thread after thread saying how they are in disaray, you should be hyping them up and saying how much of a challenge they are. Then if the Packers beat them its seen as an accomplishment, rather than losing and looking stupid as most of you did all last year.
And POSTOG got all those wins all by himself. Reggie, Leroy, Ahman, William, etc. had nothing to do with them. They all just stood around while POSTOG rushed the other teams QB, tackled, ran for 1000 yards and blocked blitzers. A one man team that POSTOG is. POSTOG: " I got all the wins but the loses were someone elses fault!!"
Lets say the Vikings have injuries or Favre has an injury and the season is a letdown. Its no skin off his ass. He has a ring, hes rich, hes a first ballot hall of famer. And he knows he left it on the field. If he would have retired a few years ago he would have regretted it forever. Most other qbs get forced out at an earlier age because of bad knees etc.

The Vikings are the ones that stand in front of the Packers or you guys wouldnt be making such a big deal about him coming back.

That image cracks me up.

[MM and TT on their knees] "For the love of God, Brett, PLEEEEASE, let Aaron play".

Apparently, the Vikings did the same thing this year and last year. Poor Brett.
Goaline, Rodgers was going to play no matter what, as I have said no first round pick is going to sit 4 years. But they desperately wanted Favre to retire to not have to face backlash for forcing him out. And not have the distraction of facing him. It would have been much easier for them if Favre just rode into the sunset and accepted the apperances contract or whatever they offered him.

Last year before the season you guys were saying how Harvin and Rice sucked. How quickly we forget.

Losing Rice is a blow but what can you do, crap happens. Favre will make any receiver better than they are. Schroeder had a couple 1000 yard seasons.

I don't think gloating over injuries is smart or good kharma. Look how bad the secondary was even with Woodson being a stud. Imagine how it would be if he was out. The pass rush is nearly non existent. Imagine if Matthews goes out. Imagine if Rodgers goes out. Imagine if Breno has to play. Imagine if Finlay and Driver get banged up.
