You know which "BEST PLAYERS" indisputably didn't play very well on Sunday?

Tom Brady and his 3 INTs and lackluster 73.9 rating (compared to Rodgers 101.6)?

Mike Evans who caught only 3 of 8 targets for 51 yards - including a key drop when he had beaten King, again?

And Ronald Jones who rushed for 16 yards on 10 carries (after gashing the Pack for 113 yards in game 1)?

3 of TB's biggest offensive weapons did not play well.

TB still won.

TB was significantly better than GB along both lines and had better coaching both on Sunday and in the October.

Jaire Alexander played excellent football.  Kenny Clark and Z made plays.   I’d say hands down they are their best defensive players.  Sullivan got beat like a drum.  Redmond was awful.

On offense, Turner and Wagner struggled mightily.   Aaron Jones had a nightmare game as did Kevin King.   But other than Jones I wouldn’t say those others are considered “their best players.”

This is exactly a point I've made .... they have many more "best players". Z. Smith made one play Sunday, he was invisible for the rest of the game. Match up all 22 starters and they are probably better than us, or at least were better than us Sunday in 16 or 17 spots. Clark, Alexander , Savage or Amos, Adams, Rodgers, would definitely start for TB, I think Linsley had a better game than their center Jensen but both are highly regarded;  maybe Jones on most days, but not Sunday,

read about kris richard online, he's interesting...took the year off to self-evaluate, he's betting on himself.  you would hope 'its not a bad bet' - he says a lot of the guys would take his ideas, but he wouldn't get recognized to get those types of jobs,,, maybe... i still like jim leonhard better, but who knows if he leaves kushy wi. co.

Well not a big surprise. Glad the LaFleur era is not like the previous one, holding on to coordinators too long. I mean hey we went 13-3 and made it to the NFC Conf Champ 2 years in a row, don't rock the boat.          Now it's blow up the boat!

Let's ask DeShaun Watson who he would like for new DC.

Man, that year off to self-evaluate sounds like a certain head coach we know who had less than a stellar year in Dallas.   Red flag.

One man's opinion on Kris Richard as Dallas DBs coach, Rod Marinelli was DC.

Warning: bad words used.

CB's didn't improve under Kris in Dallas. Scheme may have held some players back.

He declared Cover 3 D to be a "smoke and mirrors system."

Q: how responsible was Kris for Legion of Boom in Seattle?

Capers hired in DET.

Wade, like Pettine, had an expired contract. Rams decided not to renew Wade, Pettine decided not to renew GB.

LaFleur will take his time, he can afford to.

I wonder who MLF has in mind? He must have been finding his guy before letting ABM go... Look for an announcement soon, is my guess.

I should apply. Blitzing on every frickin’ down, y’all

If I assume we don't have an candidate already on staff, I'd hope MLF looks at teams that traditionally has strong defenses (Baltimore, for example).
I tend to think of someone young, fresh, who is ready for a step up (college or NFL assistant), but I don't care if it's an experienced coach. Just as long as they can utilize the skills of who we do have as opposed to who we might have.

Good find GreenBayLA. I’ve seen it said before that Richard is a super fiery guy and can piss people off. There’s a fine line between changing culture and firing guys up vs. just being a loud mouth asshole. I think one area of concern is that it doesn’t seem like he gets a lot of interviews, if he truly was some kind of great up and comer you would think he would be in the mix every year. Seems like only the media is viewing him as a HC candidate. Maybe he’s not our guy.

Mike Smith needs to be a candidate. He seems to get a lot out of his position and seemingly always has. He has such a solid development resume and Gary looks to be his next success story.

Mike Caldwell and I went to the same high school although he’s much older than me. People here still love him, lots of family still here. Would be pretty awesome if he was hired. He’s gotten good production from ILBs everywhere he’s gone. Career years for DeMeco Ryans, Karlos Dansby, Demario Davis, David Harris, plus what he’s done with Devin White and Lavonta David. Only problem is he might push Gute to actually invest in ILB! 😂
