This season was definitely a failure. Had we lost on Championship Sunday I probably wouldn't have said that.

The Giants did nothing special all the way to winning it all. They simply played solid, fundamental football & caught a couple breaks. Last year the Packers were special, starting with the blowout of the Giants then the blowout of the Falcons in the playoffs.

This Packer team is 10 times the team that the Giants is. That's why this season is a failure & they have nobody to blame but themselves on the lost opportunity.

Which was the better year? 2010- Bears win division, we win NFL; 2011- we sweep the division, Giants hold the trophy.

Great year. Always fun to look back on, but pointing out that we should have won doesn't make me less of a man somehow. Let's be real. Teams without 13 NFL Championships look back and say, "well, we didn't make the playoffs/didn't do anything when we made the playoffs, but we sure did win a good number of regular season games. Maybe there are no regular season trophies, but we can always go back to the filmroom." That would be a great thing to do if we had stumbled through a season and made the playoffs out of nowhere after several really bad years. We were 15-1 and the defending NFL Champions. The standard was different. I will still remember feeling good about having a great season, but the Packers staff better not.
a sentiment I heard expressed on the walk back to my car from a Packer fan to a gints fan after the playoff loss that still echoes in my mind as containing the most truth: "You're not the better team!!" Doesn't mean squat but it's still the truth.

How did the gints win the SB? It seems simplistic but by and large they got there and won it by not turning the ball over, by making fewer mistakes.
