Pretty remarkable considering a frustrating year for the Packers. Adams earning his  $

Good coaching here..

I have to hand it to Philbin to recognize that getting the ball out of Aaron's hands quickly is what the offense needed.

I don't have any illusions of the Packers going in to Chicago and winning but how freaking sweat would it be if they went in to their place and beat them?

I hope I am wrong but I have memories of the year the packers beat the bears the first game of year on a Chester marcel blocked field goal td run in then going to Chicago and losing 63 to 0.

I remember exactly where I was watching that game.

Poor Bart Starr.

Didn't good old Lenny Waltershcheid get a pick 6 for the Bears in that rout?

Anyway, I don't see a 63-0 final but I would not be surprised if a very hungry Bears team with everything to play for (NFC North Crown, finally beating the Pack in Chicago) won by more than the 5.5 they are favored by in Vegas.

Only some continued crappy play by Trubisky can keep the Pack in this one.

Ahhh yes I believe the year was 1980 I believe.  You would hear the cheers up and down the street when that happened.

And yep they turned around later that year and got blasted by the Bears in Chicago.  We all thought at the time Bart would get fired after that game but he coached for 3 more years.

Oh I could I forget to say this phuck the Bears!

It's bears week. I wonder if some of you have gotten soft. That some of you haven't considered this a "real" rivalry because we've been pounding them for nearly 25 years. And to be a "real" rivalry, you need to see both teams win games.  Some of you think "oh, well they are just like the Packers. Old school. Tough. Original NFL. At least I can have a tiny bit of respect for them?

FUKK. THAT. Yeah. I don't care if you've read my rant before.

Does 9-4 change things now? Does a first place bears team all of a sudden make you get up for this? Does cocky bear fans coming out of the woodwork after a win over the Rams make you remember what the bears and their slapdick fans have always been like? I told you - the second this franchise has even the barest bit of success, they would go full Cubs obnoxious.  Go listen to The Score 670 for a few minutes and hear Dan McNeil ramble for a bit. Or go to ESPN Chicago, maybe listen to Waddle and Silvy or Jurkovic.  Does that get your blood boiling? It better.

The Packers could win 43 straight games against them, we should still be filled with hate of 1000 white hot suns as they go for win 44 in a row, and desire a 77-0 beatdown.  There should be no empathy.  There should be no feelings.  There should be no respect. F**k the bears previously.  F**k the bears today.  F**k the bears forever.

61-7.  Jim McMahon wearing a goddamned bears jersey to the Packers trip to the Whitehouse. That 900 pound toad Dan Jiggetts and his criminal sidekick Mike North. Perry over Cumby.  Ditka. Kevin goddamned Butler.  Their goddamned horrific field.  Dan Hampton.  Their fans.  Dan Singletary and his stupid goddamned eyes. Doug Plank.  Buddy Ryan.  Hub Arkush.  Doug Buffone.  Butkus.  THEIR F**KING FANS.

Look at this HERPADERP mofo.

Mike Singletary to speak at West’s Kickoff Dinner

No pity.  No mercy.  F**k the bears.

With that, let's review the new and improved best wins over the bears.

 1. NFCC game 1/23/11 21-14 win.  For pure importance it doesn't get bigger than this.  Literally it can't be, unless rules are changed for who can play for SB.  Only the 2nd playoff meeting of all time.  In Chicago.  Winner goes to the Super Bowl.  I've never been so amped/nervous/demented about a game in my life.  Mainly because I'm confident my father would have died that day if the Packers lost.  But, also because as disappointing it would have been to lose the NFCC, losing the NFCC to the Bears would have been an absolute horror show.  I sometimes think beating the Bears in the NFCC was more satisfying than the Super Bowl win, as no matter what - we will always be able to say we beat them at their place and prevented them from going to the Super Bowl.  That said, I know the win wouldn't mean as much without the SB title.

2. We Have A Reversal 11/5/89 14-13 win.  I'm a sophomore college at Illinois.  Surrounded by Bears fans.  The emotions of that play go from elation to getting trash talked to doing the trash talking.  Ditka still pissed off to this day.  The asterisk.  Plus, at the time you really thought this was a resurgence of the Packers after years of hot garbage, as well as a win in a 3-18 stretch vs them.

3. COBB!!!!! 12/29/13 33-28 win.  Maybe the 3rd most important game in terms of playoff impact.  Rodgers first game after coming back from collarbone.  Winner goes to playoffs.  Great game back and forth.  Boykin with the crazy fumble recovery TD and of course the Cobb TD pass after Rodgers just missed getting killed by Peppers.   I was SCREAMING about Jordy getting murdered on that play and it wasn't called.  Thank god we don't have to relive that missed call.

4. Taken by Chester Marcol! 9/7/80 12-6 win.  The glasses.  The single bar facemask.  A guy named Chester.  Sudden Death.  Craziest ending ever.  I hope he still has that football...

5. Epic Beatdown 11/9/14  55-14 win.  I lived through 61-7.  I heard Dan friggin Jiggetts talk about it on Chicago radio every 12 minutes.  Knowing that they probably could have put up 80 and backed off is almost better than topping 61-7.  Honestly, it's one thing I'll never forgive McCarthy for, he doesn't take the foot off the gas, they drop 70 easily and AR has the record for TDs in a game.

6. The Comeback 09/08/18 24-23. I think this one gets pulled into the conversation of best ones. Rodgers goes out and it looks like he's done for the year. Kizer looks like. I mean, the worst QB in the history of the game. Mack's strip sack, his INT. Early in the 3rd, it's 20-0 bears. Then Rodgers miraculously returns. The bomb to Allison. The drive where Adams kills them. Then Cobb time. Would feel much better about this had the season as a whole not turned to shit. But, even if the season turns to shit, you still can go 2-0 vs the bears and all is not lost.

7. The Monsoon game 10/31/94 33-6 win.  Torrential rain.  Throw back uniforms.  Favre "running" for that 36 yard TD.  Sayers and Butkus getting their jerseys retired at halftime and then pour it on more in 2nd half.  I really thought we were up much bigger at half, but it was only 14-0.  Monday night game that introduced the nation to the new Green Bay Packers.  Cannot for the life of me find any video at all from that game.

Again.  F**k.  The.  bears.  ALWAYS.  Sweep the leg.  No mercy.

Who is Dan Singletary? 😆 Now that's some white hot hate right there.

I always look forward to this post from you.

Mikes younger brother...went on to play for the vikings...and was never heard from again.....

TIMPRANILLO, now that is the kind of hate that we need this week well freaking done.

I loathe and despise the Vikings above all teams but the Bears (and especially their fans aren't ver far behind)

Others for me:

Favre running in the rain on the night they retired Butkus's number

Raji scoring on them in the NFCC game

I HATE MIKE DITKA AND THAT FREAKING STUPID SNL DA BEARS THING.

My wife takes me to Shitcago a couple of times a year and she tries to get me in to MIke Ditka's restaurant.  I tell her every year I would rather have an incurrable rash that I cannot reach than spend money in that place.

Fridge running over the Packers LB for the TD on MNF

Every holiday I have to spend it with my FIB relatives and their obnoxious son.  He not only is a die hard Bears fan he also went to Iowa and he holds nothing back.

FIBs freaking FIBs

i watched nfl network the other am, nate was saying how the packers are the 'big brothers' in the division, always giving the younger brother a nuggie...and a beating.  it may be mental more than anything.

Like 5 more OL.

I'm not certain 10 OL is enough to block Mack

Here's when Philbin earns his pay. Old OL coach scheming and calling plays to counter the Bears front 7.

If you have a line filled with the 2011 versions of Josh Sitton and TJ Lang, along with Bakhtiari and a younger Bulaga you can.

Mack is really, really good. He's Hall of Fame level good. He destroys average OL and is a handful for even good ones, but he is not Reggie White or Lawrence Taylor. There should be a separate wing of the HOF for guys like that. Those two destroyed HOF OL (unless Erik Williams was allowed to jam his hands in Reggie's face every time we played the Cowboys).

Hope he plays like Favre and throws it up for grabs more than a few times...

Love the “2 or 3 picks” slapdick

He's thrown 3 picks in a game 3 total times and once since 2010. But sure, he's probably due for that.

God I hate Chicago sports fans so much

Apparently, Greg Gabriel is a former Bears FO guy.
