From SI:

"The Packers are one of five teams to have happily kept every kickoff in the end zone for a touchback. The result? With the Bears booting one kickoff out of the bounds in the opener, Green Bay’s average field position following a kickoff is the 27.5-yard line. That’s the third-best starting point in the league … for doing nothing. "

Keep it up !!!  With a potential fumble and the way the NFLFU likes to throw flags, why bother ??!!

It's somewhat remarkable that just a few years ago, getting to the 20 (+) yard line from a KOR from the end zone was pretty common.
Now, with the rule changes, it's not as common. Returns to the 25 are even rarer.

Excellent point!  Add in it removes the risk of injury, and it makes even more sense.

Well, this is one way to bond as a Team Captain..

Easily the best free agent signing since Woodson.  Very happy to have him leading this defense.

Republic Chophouse was one of Woodson’s favorite places in GB. The Smiths were fine additions.

In fact. IIRC It was Damarious Randall that took to Twitter during his rookie camp complaining there wasn’t anywhere good to eat in GB and Charles took him to school.

Great. So a dinged up Graham is gonna make a go of it. That’s just fucking spectacular.

One of the few things known about Jimmy, he don't miss games. IIRC, he had one season where he played like 11 games, almost every other seasons he's played it's been the full 16.

He broke his thumb last season. Didn't matter, he played.

He didn't play well, but he played.

Think his thumb injury led to a tipped pick in the EZ that should have been a TD.

I get the guy is an all timer at TE. But how everyone can be cool with Clay in LA because his best days are in the rear view mirror but Graham just needs a chance is homerism on a grand scale. Graham looks about as done as done can look. And the last thing I want to see is done with a bad groin.

Tonyan is a better option in this offense. He can’t block either (and while we’re here Lewis hasn’t exactly been a blocking force either) but Tonyan is a slightly poorer man’s version of George Kittle.

As opposed to some players who have to be chased to pay their bills...

And I'll assume there's a lot of coughing in Arod's direction....

These first 2 games have taken a bit of a toll.

Shepherd and Burks still need another couple of weeks.
Good to see Hollman has worked his way back. Neck injuries are nasty.

Hate to see big Mo and Martinez are hurting. It's good that Brown can rotate in as needed. Might be a good week to see more of KeKe.
Fackrell and Graham...meh. Don't know if either of them would be sorely missed.
But if Kumerow can't go, that may limit some options at TE.
I wonder if Summers might get any snaps if Fackrell needs a spell or can't play? He normally sees lots of snaps.
Dexter may see some plays at RB if Jamaal has any troubles.

Hope Jenkins is excited for his first start!

Um yeah....like destitute man's version.

I know restaurants have a ridiculous markup on alcohol, but I'm sure I could find a perfectly adequate Garnacha or Viognier at the liquor store in the $20-30 range.

And no white zin or chardonnay, although I'm reminded of my niece's college graduation party, a backyard barbecue with lots of red meat perfect for red wine.  My sister had three bottles of wine out: white zin, chardonnay, and moscato.  Talk about stereotypes.

Like everybody, I knew that Graham couldn't block but gave him a pass because his pass-catching abilities could be exceptional.  No matter the reason, the pass-catching isn't anywhere near where it needs to be so fuck that guy.

I want to see Tonyan lining up at #1.  Get it done young man.

The Packers just promoted Evan Bayliss from the PS. IS he going to be used as a blocker or a receiver more? Gute and MLF have expressed a liking for Bayliss's talents on the field based from his play in camp. Will we see more Bayliss than Tonyan? More Bayliss than Graham or Lewis?
