It is a free world, you don't have to reply to it. Just an honest question. Been seeing a lot of Ben Fennell references lately. Maybe people just like that he has the initials BF?
Nice to see Kendricks block on that play, although he could have stayed with it a little longer downfield.
Of all the guys out there who talk/write about football for a living, Fennell is one of the best at breaking down film. But he is far from perfect.
Oh, and he's not wrong about the read-option with Hundley, but I think even guys like Rodney and Nagler could see that.
Who hasn't been calling for the read option since his first start?
Every single time I hear "Cleveland Browns", I always recall the NFL Championship game following the '65 season. St. Vince's first Championship, and the beginning of the greatest dynasty.
Dominating them on both sides of the ball, and shutting down the "great" Jim Brown.... man, those were the days!
It's sad to think that today's Browns have no real connection to those teams of the '60's, and have become what they have become.
I've looked at this game as being the one that may largely determine MM's future with the club. He has been digging his own grave since ARod's injury, and a loss here could put him in it much faster than expected.
There's not a single reason why the Pack shouldn't dominate and win this game going away. Even if Callahan had to play, for whatever reason, I'd still expect them to win.
That being said, I have no idea which Hundley will play or how this game may unfold. And that's a scary thought.....
Hundley is much better with his legs than his arm and the read-option makes perfect sense.

Which Hundley? How many are there?
This year, the browns are losing by an average of 10.3 points. Hopefully we will keep up that average...or better it.
Much like winning Super Bowls going 0 and 16 is hard.....
I still think we're in danger of being the Browns only W.
I'm terribly nervous about this game.......and I still don't want Aaron to come back.....to prove what??? Just call it a year and be done with it. Now where's my voodoo doll of the queens.

Lombardi was the coach in '61 & '62 I believe.

it really is kind of sad for what the Browns have become in the last 20 years or whatever it has been since they have been back. The amount of ineptitude is insane. They have had I think ONE playoff appearance since they have been back, I think they have lost 18 or 19 opening games in a row, have started 556 different Qb's, and have not won on a Sunday since Manziel was a starter.
But all of this makes me happy and warms my heart. All of my ex wives family are die hard Browns fans and I hope their misery continues. May sound petty but nope I don't care.
All kidding aside like DH13 I am VERY worried about this one and I immediately became worried when #12 went down.

He is also far better out of the shotgun vs under center.
I believe CLE D is top 10, very good vs. the run which is currently our only calling card. They've shown spurts of comptenency on offense but always come up short. GB D needs to keep grinding like they did last week and hope our OL win the game for us again.
Forecast is 30 degrees with a 40% chance of snow. I’d be more than happy with Hundley attempting 10 or few passes. Of course with that said you know that GB will open up with 7 straight passes.

Cleveland D could make life tough for Hundley as they are pretty good. Dom's D could allow Cleveland to look like champs. This game shouldn't be, but seems too much like, a toss-up.
Per Bad Bob McGinn, The Browns have lost 2 of their best pass rushers for the year. The only one left worth anything is Myles Garett.
EDIT: The Browns are also 26th in the NFL in defensive scoring allowing 25.7 points per game. The Packers by comparison are 17th.
Their rushing defense is good, 6th in the NFL allowing 96.9 per game. The Packers are 14th in the NFL.

The Pitt game, while frustrating, at least showed they can compete. The real problem was the shutout nonsense against the Ravens--at home--coupled with the Lions loss.
Those are two games that should have been won but for terrible play calling and an inability to lead at the QB position. We should be 8-4 right now--no sarcasm.
If the Packers win out they have a 90% chance of getting in. Playing with the Playoffs machine with nothing off-the-wall crazy (unless you count going 4-0 by the Packers crazy) gets us the 6 seed and probably a trip to Minnesota if we win the Wild Card game.

^^this^^ you are not the only one having this nightmare. If Dom's D gives up that much I say leave him in Cleveland that would be a suitable punishment.
