And for some reason, many fans think he done, or he’s quit on the Packers, or he wants to play with AR in NY, or he murders puppies, or he’s a bad dude, or something.

Brilliant.

Even injured, he’s still one of the NFL’s elite LTs. I’ll give Gutekunst a little leash on this personnel decision.

And that reason would be after Rodgers gets hurt he comes out complaining about turf and hasn't played a down since. He never left the game with an injury and never went public about turf before. The look on his face on the sideline after the Packers pulled out a miracle win also does not work in his favor.

i get sick of listening to the local guys nowadays.  i thought, ok, ryan wood is on the show, he's pretty objective. bill starts off by saying "i know they won, BUT..." friggen eyore's all around the sports zone in wi, wtf?  i thought it was an awesome win. (period).

Sounds like Loins LT Taylor Decker is out so they’re also down two O-linemen.  RB Montgomery also not expected to play.  But, Packers Jones and Watson expected to play tonight. 🤞  Alexander probably out so Ballentine probably gets elevated.

Thursday night football after a Sunday game is a FANTASTIC idea.

But it looks like a really poor business decision if you cut bait on a guy you spent the farm on to lock up. Not blaming Gutey at all...in the history of bad luck, Bakh blowing his knee up the day after he signs his deal is a Hall of Famer.

Gutey probably feels like they are on the hook for the money anyway, so might as well keep him around "in case." My skepticism comes from Bakhtiari who sure says all the right things, but hasn't played much meaningful football since it happened. In this modern era of miraculous medicine, I really question if he doesn't already know his career is over and he's just going along to collect the paycheck rather than take an injury settlement and get off the Packers books.

Let’s put it this way:

When I couldn’t come back from a devastating knee injury in 1988, the Croatian Eagles needed several years to find a decent replacement in goal….when Goalline hurt his knee skipping out on his bar tab, his bar league team replaced him with a barstool and they didn’t miss a beat.

I don’t know what the story means, but it was fun to tell.

I had knee surgery last week and I’m already walking around with only a slight limp. I don’t know what Bahk’s problem is, but he he needs to get with the winning team and man up.

Not that it matters at this point but I thought I read that Bak chose to have a different surgeon fix his knee rather than the one recommended by the Packers.

Or maybe I was just drunk at the time…

SB Nation says DET is the better team on paper; DVOA rankings of both offenses and defenses.  They pick the Loins.  The equalizer could be getting Watson and Jones back, however missing Alexander would set them back.

SB Nation DET v. GB

If I were running things, I would want to see how Walker performs in a few games before making any decisions on Bakh.  If Walker was a complete flop it might be good to be patient with Bakh in the hopes he can finish the year strong.

Honestly on paper I would say the Lions are the better team.  Like you said that could change with having Jones and Watson back assuming they are healthy enough to make an impact.  At the game last weekend on almost every pass play you could see that Love wanted to go deep if he could and having Watson there can really open that up.

Where  I am really concerned is that even without Dekker the Lions OL is pretty damn good and I am afraid Barry ball will take over and allow a lot of rushing yards.

As for Bakh I can understand the situation the organization is in.  He is without a doubt when he is healthy one of the best LTs so you want to be patient as much as you can because he is the starter at LT if he is healthy he is that good when he is right. But from week to week you have pretty much an idea of that he won't play so do you ride it out with the young guy and hope he doesn't suck and hope 69 somehow gets on the field?  And if not at what point to you just run out of patience with a guy who is three YEARS from an injury and barely plays?

I of course am too lazy to look it up but I think the cap ramifications but I am pretty sure that the cap impact is pretty rough for the team if they move on from him now.

Packers have no chance against the Lions tonight. After all according to Lions fans, the Packers won against NO only because Derek Carr went down. Of course there is no mention by the same Lions fans that the Packers were without their five best players in that game. And of course they beat the Falcons easily at home while the Packers lost in the last second to that same team.  The Lions have a toughg guy Alpha Coach and the Packers have Pepe Lafleur. So with all that in mind, I am thinking of bettting a bit on the Packers on the Money Line. Am I crazy?

Probably both.

I would imagine the Lions plan to do the same thing they did when they came to Lambeau the last time- punch the Packers in the mouth and watch them buckle. Lion organization (and many of their fans) view the Packers as soft and it's up to MLF and crew to make this time different.

This +some. I'm still not convinced MLF is the man for this job even though I like him. This is his and Love's team now. I'd like to see them lay down the wood and create a tougher identity.

As Mike Wahle talked about, sad thing is that if you could count on Bak, you may consider moving Walker to guard to get your best 5 on the field.

I just bet.....

Packers +3 (bought 1/2 point at -145)

Packers M/L +115

Packers +2.5 and OVER (45) (2-team parlay)

Let's see what happens 🤷‍♂️

P.S. I actually like the under tonight (23-20) which hopefully bodes well for the parlay.

So I guess scoring 18 points in the 4th Quarter vs a VERY tough defense in the Saints is something a soft team like the Packers can do.

Got it......Mike Lindell pillow soft
