Now let's see if Yelich can string together 2 or 3 of these types of games over the next 10 games or so.

I don't think we'll ever see (from maybe any player) a stretch like Yelich had to end 2018. In September of that month his OPS was 1307. He drove in 33 runs that month despite walking 24 times. However, we just need to see a hot streak of some sort.

Before last night, Yelich had only 5 games out of his last 175 (since the kneecap) where he had more than one extra base hit. He only had 35 games where he had 2 hits.

In 2018-19, he played 277 games. In over a third of them he had at least 2 hits, and in 35 of those games he had at least two extra base hits.

Maybe we should try trashing Hiura next?

6 strikeouts in 14 at-bats this year. 162 strikeouts in 390 ABs the previous 2 years.

The ol' reverse jinx may have worked!  3 run dinger in the 7th to seal the win.
