It's Patriots Week

The Packers will surprise a lot of people this week.  I have a feeling they will bounce back in a good way after the disappointing loss to the Rams.  That was one of those wake up games where the team kind of realized they can not only hang with the likes of the Rams, but be in a position to win at the end of the game (if not for that costly mistake).  Kind of like "R-E-L-A-X", or "Run the Table" type of feeling.

There was little doubt in my mind the Packers were going to beat the Rams after they kicked their field goal with over 2:00 left on the clock.  I'm sure everyone on the Packers sidelines felt the same way.  The packers are a much better team than their 3-3-1 record, and we'll see that this Sunday night.

Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I have a good feeling about this game coming up.

Yep.  It's the only place they've really been consistent.

"The Packers could be 6-1!".  They could also be 1-6.

They do have a tendency to do that to themselves.  

Week 1 - Matthews' late hit on QB kept bears alive instead of sealing the game

Week 2 - The ref's actually shot the packers in the foot, but there were other chances to win that game

Week 3 - Nothing stands out, maybe they were shooting themselves in the foot all game against the 'Skins

Week 4 - Bills game, good all around game

Week 5 - Missin' Crosby reared his ugly head

Week 6 - Just let SF stay in the game

Week 8 - Bonehead play by Ty 

That WAS game doesn't look as bad in hindsight.  WAS is playing very well and rising to the top on D.  Still, I recall lots of flags and dropped passes, missed throws by AR in that game.

Yeah, that was a crap game all around. Yes, the Skins are pretty good but that was a really bad game for GB. Only game they flat out played bad enough to lose. 

I watched the Bills (yes the Bills) hold the Patriots to nine points until their QB screwed up badly. Yes,  I think we can can do well against this team.

It’s a tradition that is truly unlike any other.

In 2016, a Bills fan threw a sex toy onto the field during a game against the Patriots. Inscribed on the device? “Brady’s dildo.”

It happened again last year when the Patriots played the Bills in Buffalo. Last night, at least three were spotted. Maybe more.

And one led to an arrest.

According to WKBW,  34-year-old Michael Abdallah was charged with disorderly conductfor allegedly throwing a dildo on the field during the 25-6 loss to the Patriots. Abdallah actually spent the night in jail before pleading not guilty.

He was released on $250 cash bail or $1,000 bond. Abdallah’s next court appearance will happen on December 4.

The next dildo-toss likely will occur at some point in 2019, when the Patriots return to Buffalo.

But we don’t have Clinton-Dix to throw around anymore.

#Packers C Corey Linsley did not practice Thursday. He was not on the injury report Wednesday, so we’ll have to wait until Thursday’s report to learn why he didn’t practice.

Otherwise, #Packers were again the picture of health. Nick Perry (ankle) and Jermaine Whitehead (back) both practiced after missing Wednesday. Aaron Rodgers (knee) also practiced. They’ve gotten remarkable health this season.

The Packers are a picture of health? I know I said this last week but honestly when was the last time we heard those words? not one but TWO weeks in a row.

I think 2011 is the last truly healthy Packers squad. Even then we lost Nick Collins.

Everything else was pretty meaningless injuries unless you want to count Mike Neal. Yeah, me neither.  

Mike McCarthy said WR Geronimo Allison sustained a groin injury in practice yesterday, and "we'll see where he is tomorrow." McCarthy said he feels good about C Corey Linsley's availability for Sunday night at New England. Linsley was added to the injury report Wednesday with a knee issue.

edit:  the roster at packers.com only lists Linsley as a Center.

The only championship game is the championship game.  The rest is for Vikings fans.

Can’t win a championship game if you don’t win non championship games.

Yep, me too.  Brady is slipping a little bit, he already has 7 interceptions  compared to 8  ALL of last year.  One thing  I do know,  Rodgers has more courage, determination in his little pinky  than that whole Oakland team does.

I get you buddy. The Rams game was supposed to be the one that turned the season around. Arguably it would have. And they had them beat!

Now it’s like, “How about now?”
