That dude...Lazard, had one catch for his career. ONE! Rodgers went to him 2 straight times & the 2nd one was the TD. He ended the night with 4 catches. There just aren't too many people on the planet that can turn a complete nobody into something resembling an NFL WR. Especially in that situation.

Onward....Beat the Ray-Duhs!

I'm with you, to a certain extent.  Lazard is an NFL football player and I wouldn't classify him as a complete nobody.  The kid certainly has an impressive skill set but never got a chance to showcase it.

There was a time in GB when Donald Driver was in the exact same position as Lazard.  He got his opportunity and responded.

Driver was an elite athlete (a likely Olympic qualifier in the high jump). Lazard is never going to be that.

Having said that, one quarter of real game reps made it clear he's a lot better than Allison, Shepard, or Trevor Davis. I think the best comparison for Lazard is James Jones. He's not going to outrun anyone, but he's a big physical receiver that will fight for the ball and make a lot of contested catches.

I'd take a young version of James Jones right now.

The fact that his logic is that Rodgers is earning his paycheck because he succeeded without Geronimo Allison and MVS should tell you everything about how poor GB’s WR depth is. As if having those guys means Rodgers doesn’t have to still be dominant to move the ball. I mean FFS people complain and have complained that guys like Jake Kumerow and Jeff Janis should get more PT, those guys wouldn’t have sniffed the PS in 2011.

A nice distraction for Chucky and Co:

Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Trent Brown has been accused of multiple acts of domestic violence against his girlfriend as part of a lawsuit filed earlier this week.

In the lawsuit, filed in Alameda County (California) Superior Court, Diorra Marzette-Sanders accuses Brown of slapping, punching and choking her on multiple occasions beginning in 2018. She said she has been "bruised, bloodied and battered" from the attacks and lived in fear of Brown.

The lawsuit, a copy of which was obtained by ESPN, says a police report was filed after a June 2019 incident in which Brown allegedly bruised Marzette-Sanders' arm and slapped her.

Breakout players often have an element of surprise or unscouted looks that gives them early success.  Let's see how he handles defenses that study his film once there is some.  Until then, keep riding the hot hand.

Let's focus on this instead of the Game Chucky

To be fair to MLF regarding Graham, what are his options?   We got 3 healthy TE's and we play a ton of two TE packages.    98% of the fan base can't name the 3rd TE and do you actually think Rodgers would throw him the ball?

We got to ride this out until Bad Bobby Tonyan gets healthy and he will take a lot of snaps from Graham as the season goes on.

Jace may be  riding to the rescue.

When the schedule came out, this seemed like a gimme win for the Pack. Not the case anymore...Gruden has the Raiders playing some good football, they have re-stocked their talent, team speed, and their O-Line looks to be pretty darn good. Plus Gruden has 2 weeks to game-plan after beating the Bears.

Heard an interview on the radio yesterday stating the Raiders have one of the best early down offenses in the NFL....rarely get into 3rd and long. Mainly due to the early down success of Jacobs. Stopping the run early will be key for Pettine.

I thought on draft day that Josh Jacobs was going to be a really good pro somewhere.  He was a bit under the radar because of limited game action in college.  But you could see his ability when he was on the field.

This game combines two things the Raiders haven't really been good at over the past few years: Playing on the road and playing against an NFC team. In their past 15 road games, the Raiders are 3-12 straight-up . The Raiders have also struggled against NFC teams,  since the beginning of the 2015 season (6-12 straight-up). As for the Packers, they've won seven straight against AFC teams while going 6-1 ATS in those games. Another upside for the Packers is that this game is being played at Lambeau in October, and over the past 10 years, Aaron Rodgers is 16-2 straight-up at home in October.

I can't stand Gruden and his fake multiple personality act. I may like him the least of all NFL coaches. Guy is a complete phony and I would love to blow them out.

I'm not saying you're wrong as I don't know Gruden personally but is there something in particular you mean about him being a phony?  As a coach, I always got the impression he is a workaholic, no-nonsense, anal son-of-a-bitch to play for, particularly if you are a QB.  He's hard on QBs.

I suppose where you could say he's phony is that when he's in the announcers booth, he certainly displays a more pleasant side.  That said, I think most guys behave differently in the announcer booth than they do outside of it.
