I think you stumbled upon his strategy. If he makes all the QBs look great those stats will get padded and force teams to overpay to keep their quarterbacks, thus not being able to field a competitive team. My God man, Joe's a genius.

And he should. There’s no reason to play Clifford short of injury. Give Love the whole season and then evaluate the entirety of his performance/improvement. 2023 was never about division or conference championships in realistic terms.
