The fact they aren't 4 TD favorites just proves the Packers suck.
My buddy Andy from my softball team is going to his first Lambeau Game with his wife, using my brother's season tickets. California Boy, lifelong Packer fan, giving him all sorts of advice (Day before Stadium tour and Hall of Fame, Kroll's, strolling the parking lot, etc.)

Did you tell him to boo #50 every defensive snap?
Evah!
I'd tell your buddy Andy to be like George and do the opposite.

I'm taking my friend Brad to the game as well. He's from the south, don't think he's ever been north of Indianapolis. I asked him if he needed to borrow any cold weather clothes, he said no he had some long johns he would probably wear. Going to help him get some stuff to wear...
You are a good friend. I'd let him freeze....

Yep. I am thinking the Packers really should just forfeit and save us the misery of watching their games.
14 point favorites? I know the Redskins records stinks but 14 points in the NFL is a ton. Two players that scare me in this game are Guice and McLaurin. Guice did very well against this last week and he is that quick back that can give GB fits.
McLaurin would have been a helluva #2 in GB.
The Skins racked up a ton of rushing yards, like almost 250 IIRC, on a bad Carolina run defense yesterday. They have won 2 straight and will come in confident. Yes, the Packers have the far better QB, they are at home, and this is the better team.
But no, they will not be a push over. The formula for winning games isn't rocket science for the Packers. They have scored a TD on now I believe 7 of their 12 games in the opening drive to start the game. I think that puts them either number 1 in the NFL or damn near the top. Get up on the Skins early, step on the gas, and don't look back.
Put the ball in QB Dwayne Haskins, with a 58.5 QB rating, hands and force him to beat you. And for the defense, get off the field on 4th down. The reason the Giants hung around for the 1st half is because they dominated the time of possession. If you take the running game out of the Skins plan by going up early, you win this game.
Can’t wait as I’ll be at the game.

I’ll be there too GD
Just win the games you should and don't look ahead to the Vikings. See this one as being a relatively comfortable win for the Packers (say 34-20).

Skins are playing a bit better, but you've nailed it. Sell out on the run and force Haskins to beat you. Wouldn't shock me if they give up a big play or tow because of that, but turnovers will be there.
Not sure if Carolina D is the reason, but Guice looked like a beast yesterday.
Don't sleep on the Redskins defense. The can rush the passer and create turnovers. They blitz and intercept.
I'd be tempted to take those points.
Don't look now but they are in the East race.
They aren't in the race. They just aren't eliminated yet.
sweet, another team just our speed. we should be able to pull away in the 4th again this week.
It's the NFL. No game is easy but that line is BEGGING you to take the Skins.
Go 1-0 every week. I know it's a cliche' but it's really true
Hard to believe that just 14 months ago, these 2 teams played and the Redskins demolished the Pack and won by 14. It wasn’t even really that close, Redskins got up 28-10 at the half and coasted.
I expect the Pack to turn the tables but you never know.
Would think the Old O-line coach Callahan is going to run Peterson and Guice as much as possible. Surprising how much better the Skins are playing after firing Gruden.
Also surprised at how poorly the Packer O-line run blocked against the Giants. Maybe the weather. December.... Time to RTFB !!
OL hasn't been run blocking well for quite a while.
Our easiest road to the a first round bye is this week.
If we win out and the 49ers beat the Saints this week, we're the #2. If the Saints beat the 49ers, then a host of other crap needs to happen down the stretch for us to be the #2.
Why the hell are you even watching?
I guess it's time to root for the niners then.

Why are you even talking about a bye? You know the Packers suck and probably won't even win the division.
More importantly, why does it feel like the seasons over already? Might as well go ice the cookies.
Never a bad time for icing cookies.
Stack the box, dare those fools to pass. ALWAYS.
Harvest the INTs.
Lowry has to be the run stuffer on this defense. Get Keke and Montravious involved on the line and maybe our LBs can make tackles behind the LOS.
So convert Nijman to a DL? Hell, why don't we try him at TE.
Convert Marcedes "Fling a Fak" Lewis to ILB while we're at it.
Line up Gary at DT on passing downs. The dude is strong and quick. Send Gary, Kenny and the Smith bros if you are only rushing 4.
I'm pretty sure I've already seen that. Don't know how successful they've been but it's tough to tell with Gary's limited snap count.
LaFleur likes newcomer Tyler Ervin's versatility on offense, says he's able to line up in slot some and also gives them RB depth. But he'll be the KR and PR: "He's an elusive guy, he's got some juice. He's pretty fast." Someone to perhaps at long last spark the return game.
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) December 4, 2019
Outside of ST is he going to get on the field that fast? Not that I'm complaining if he does. I guess if he can show something by playoff time. Now go look for ILBs.
It would be nice to have a ST guy that can also play RB in a pinch. When Jones was dinged up early vs NY it could have been a long tough day for Williams.
Henry posted:Outside of ST is he going to get on the field that fast? Not that I'm complaining if he does. I guess if he can show something by playoff time. Now go look for ILBs.
I don't see it. I think the only time the rookie from ND got snaps this season was after Williams concussion. We have two solid RB's who both excel in the pass game and pass pro, so unless he is taking snaps at and from a WR.. I don't see why you would do it.
I really wish shitbird could get his turds in a herd.
Working with the running backs.
Maybe the plan is to really lean into the WRB position.
Dare to dream.....
The new Taysom Hill...
I'll settle for rookie Randall Cobb as a Punt returner

I meant M. Adams. Oops!
Is it just me or are many folks looking past this game? Isn’t that the definition of a trap game?
We're not players. Doubt they are looking past it.
Chargers? Cardinals last year? Miami just beat a team that we lost to at home. no one on the staff is looking past anyone
Packers again a healthy bunch

Maybe the new coaching staff is doing things that help players stay healthy.
Running back Adrian Peterson. Receiver Paul Richardson and receiver Trey Quinn are not practicing today

Here's what I know ....
Redskins are 30th or worse in almost every offensive category. The defense should have a gigantic day & give the ball back to Rodgers a few times with a short field.
Nothing is guaranteed. Continue to hang onto the ball offensively & crush them early & often.
We want to see Tim Boyle!!
The Skins are down to 4 healthy WR's left. They have little plans of passing it even without the injuries. It should be NO mystery what the Skins plan to do.

No DNPs in #Packers practice today. The limited participants were:
— Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) December 5, 2019
RT Bryan Bulaga (knee)
TE Jimmy Graham (calf/wrist)
CB Kevin King (shoulder)
RB Jamaal Williams (knee)
TE Marcedes Lewis (vet rest)
CB Tramon Williams (vet rest)
I'm going to ask the boss if I can get 1 day a week off for "vet rest"
Receivers Paul Richardson (hamstring) and Trey Quinn (concussion) are not practicing.

McLaurin is the only one that matters. P.R. is ok but nothing to worry about.
Double-checked the draft. Pack drafted Jace Sternberger just 1 spot in front of McLaurin. Couldn't really expect Gutey to draft another WR but the TE has the chance to really make a difference. Crossing my fingers.
Boris posted:Yes & put Jaire "man" on McLauren.

Agree. Not sure if Haskins can get it to him consistently yet, but McLaurin is special. Let Jaire follow him all day.
Recipe : Stack box, pressure Haskins, follow McLaurin with Jaire.
Packer offense should light this Skins defense up. SHOULD

Move over Turdberger. Enter LOONEY!
Former D-lineman James Looney, a seventh-round pick in 2018, has a new position. He's worked with the tight ends this week and the change was reflected on the practice-squad roster and he's changed from No. 99 to 49. https://t.co/S1F4bKoi9N pic.twitter.com/7iMkePDuYj

RB Jamaal Williams practiced a day after being added to the injury report (knee).
— Rob Demovsky (@RobDemovsky) December 6, 2019
Only K Mason Crosby, who's attending his sister-in-law's funeral in Texas, was not on the field. https://t.co/Bts8Rdwg5M pic.twitter.com/3qtq4IV0qj
James Looney moving to TE is certainly intriguing. Even at 287 pounds, he ran 4.89, hit 35.5" in the vertical and finished the 3-cone in 7.32. His older brother plays OL. Could be an athletic run blocker?

Think he's probably up to the task.
LaFleur said Looney did such a good job at TE on the scout team and they “wanted to give him the rest of the season to give him a foundation heading into the offseason.”

That is absurdly hilarious. Maybe that's why the Reddims are at the bottom of the league.
ARodgers wins this by shredding Manusky's D Rodgers will have 400 yards passing against skins secondary and this game will be long over at the half... Green Bay gets out to a hot start and unlike Carolina, finishes the job. 31-13 GB.
Not specific to this game, but David Bakhtiari has the second highest win rate (94%) of all left tackles in the NFL.
I know, shocker, right.
Who is #1? Schwartz? Peters or Johnson? Whitworth? Ramczyk?
Focus. TCoB. Want to see Tim Boyle for entire 4th quarter with score about 45-10
Boris posted:Looney is also another O-Lineman. Wonder how well he blocks?
I would hope at almost 290 lbs and 4.9 speed he's a blocker first. Wonder if he will drop a few lbs if this is a permanent gig?
The Packers added starting right guard Billy Turner to the injury report on Saturday with an illness. He's now questionable for tomorrow against Washington.

Maybe get him down to 260 -- running a 4.7 or so. That could be dangerous for opposing defenses, provided, you know, he can actually CATCH the ball.
These are the types of moves that sometimes pan out very well. Like Sam Shields

WR Ryan Grant
CB Kevin King
RB Dexter Williams
CB Tony Brown
CB Ka'dar Hollman
G/T Adam Pankey
OT Yosh Nijman
No Kevin King.
Ryan Grant. Big waste of a spot
What is King's issue?
Hamstring. Gonna need Josh Jackson to not shit the bed today. Only 3 CB's active.
Scholder?
Shoulder issue with King. My guess is Sullivan gets snaps before Josh Jackson in the slot.
Huh, I heard he had a hamstring act up in practice late this week.
Continued shoulder issues. Perfect.
Saw some speculation that if this was any of the other 3 games left on the schedule he would have played today.
Load management?
King out Jackson in. Today will be the day Pettine decides to ditch zone scheme for more man to man.
So the CB’s are Alexander, Williams, Jackson, and Sullivan. I think that’s it.. better hope nobody else gets hurt.

What's with Hollman? Hurt? Scrub? Considering all the consternation over the CB position I thought he might be in the mix considering he seemed pretty steady in TC.
They are leaving Hollman inactive for competitive balance. Packers would be 12-0 with him playing.
