Ever since the Matt Flynn loss to the Patriots in 2010, the Packers are 23-2 including the playoffs. I don't think anyone would say a 13 win season is far fetched this year. That would mean heading into the playoffs on a ridiculous 36-5 stretch. To squander that kind of success with anything except another Lombardi Trophy would have to be considered a failure. These kinds of windows just dont stay open for long.

The Super bowl window is open for the Packers but it does take luck to win or even get to the game. Injuries, unexpected growth in player’s abilities, getting hot at the right time, are elements in taking the last step to the Super bowl. All are factors that can not be foreseen. Practical experience suggest it is better for a team to get hot at the end of the season then go 15-1 and be a team that is cooling off.

The windows at 1265 Lombardi only close when the AC is running.

It's tough to win a SB. But this team is built to realistically compete for the Lombardi for the next 5-6 years and be viewed as favorites every year.

Can't ask for more than that as a fan.

Fact:

The last two SB winners had 6 and 7 regular season losses.

The Packers were at 8-6 at one point and the Giants were at 7-7.

Do we have the talent to win another SB? Absolutely. Do the most talented teams always win the championship? No.

Maybe the windows & doors aren't big enough for our Packers to get thru. In that case I suggest blowing a hole in the side of the building. Repairing it won't be a problem with all the money the Packers got for selling paper I can't get rid of.

As far as the SB goes, whether we get there or not, I suggest they rename it the "The Green Bay Packer Open" and make it a private afair.
