Really stunning after essentially hosting a “compound” in GB where last year he did nothing but watch film with his cronies of fellow coaches for an entire year that he learned NOTHING.

I mean. It’s literally the same shit, different day. Hiring the same cronies like Nolan who have NO clue how to defend a modern offense.

Oh Jerruh....what were you thinking.

Jerruh is thinking that he is still the best GM for the Cowpies.  One thing I wonder is if Jerruh kept Garrett around for all those years if he will keep MM around just to prove how good of a GM he is?

The three strikes against the Cowboys include the following:

1) As you say Jerry thinks he is hot stuff as a GM.  Or at least he is still trying to be as good as Jimmy Johnson which will never happen.  JJ wants all the glory for himself.

2) He hired a HC who is still in "auto mode".

3) He doesn't have AR to lean on to bail him out.  Dak is no AR.  When MM was hired this was my first thought.

Eventually MM will be "OUT" in Dallas.  And Jerry's DREAM of a SB will live on.

Things just got a bit more difficult for Pittsburgh Macho.

isn't it obvious?  MM is delivering his long missing, highly anticipated, parting gift to the GBP org and fans.  thanks MM!

I'll drink on it and get back to yaz....   cheers MM!!

I'm starting to think that Mac truly believed his self-proclaimed HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL COACH rhetoric.

The problem, for him, is that the local Dallas media (and national media because its the Cowboys) are not just going to lob him softball questions, take his word for it, and tell Cowboy fans they should thank their lucky stars that their favorite team has such a great coach like the small coterie of conflict-averse "media" that cover the Pack.

Sort of feel bad for Mac that the knives are already out for him in Big D ...

Jane Slater@SlaterNFL
#Cowboys players initially bought into keeping things internal. Now as they sit 2-4 the discontent is leaking out. On the coaching staff “totally unprepared. They don’t teach. They don’t have any sense of adjusting on the fly.” Another “they just aren’t good at their jobs”

There's a lesson in all of this.  Rodgers along with guys like Woodson made McVince.  Maybe the current regime should give that a bit of consideration WHEN FUCKING DRAFTING!

You can put Potential in the game in a few years and start a new young team around him.  Until then, invest.

"The team is incredibly frustrated and lost faith in the new group" (of coaches). Jane (Slater longtime Cowboy reporter) also referred to a respect issue players may not have for this staff. This issue also carries over to the offensive side of the ball. Slater says she can't recall players calling out Garrett, Marinelli or Kellen like they already have with McCarthy's staff."
And then there is this article in the local paper ...

Wow, either Jason Garrett was was more popular with the Dallas press corps than I ever imagined or Mac and his staff of loyal lackeys are in way over their collective heads ... and unlike up in Green Bay the press is going to call Mac and his staff out over their coaching failures.

Without Dak Prescott?

I'm sure MM would love to retire after this season. $30-$35 million contract? Not to mention his entire coaching staff. I highly doubt MM is going anywhere after 1 year & his starting QB on the shelf.

its a good think MM used the time off from the Packers to study all the new wrinkles offenses have and how to incorporate those ideas into his new and improved offense. Just imagine how bad the Cowboys would be he had not done all that....

I am glad to see that "the plan" is working well in Dallas.  I know I could not have scripted this if I tried.

On a deeper level, JJ will never let anyone approximating Jimmy Johnson in the building and give him total control.  It would erk JJ to no end to not get the credit for his teams' SB win.  So he wants guys he can control, while he plays GM for his team.  Dallas will never be anything more than .500 unless that changes.  Imagine if Lombardi had caved into the directors list of demands after his first game, we would never have had 5 more championships in GB.

Mike McCarthy on the 25-3 loss to Washington: "Disappointing loss. Disappointing division loss. I've stood in front of this camera too many times and spoken about the basics we just haven't put together yet … Not a very good day. Unfortunate injury there with Andy (Dalton). Obviously shifted us to a different direction offensively but it's not what you're looking for. We need to be much better and we're I'm running out of time."

Jerruh is 78. He doesn't have the time to wait for MM to "get that corrected".

This might be not only a one and done for McVince as Cryboys HC, the league may pass on him completely for another HC gig.

MM=Brian Billick.
