Yesterday you agreed with me that injuries are holding them back. Today you don't want to hear about injuries.  Which in the hell is it?   Get on one side of the fence or the other. Quit waffling like a politician.

Injuries are holding them back from being one of the true contenders in the National League.

We were facing one of the worst teams in the last century. Talk here was that the Brewers needed to sweep the A’s, or at worst, take two of three. We were embarrassed.

There is NO excuse for being swept at home by a team with a .219 winning percentage.

I don't think it's injuries as much as poor offense. The pitching staff has had injuries but guys like Rae and Tehran have stepped up. Look at the support Tehran has had in 4 starts. But when the middle of the lineup is producing next to nothing the team just isn't going to score. Mitchell is really the only offensive player injured. Most of the lineup is in the .220-.230 range for BA. Today was one of the few times the Brewers scored 4 runs or more and lost.

Assuming their big 3 starters were healthy and pitching well they could be considered a contender.

Burnes is having an off year as is Peralta.  Woodruff was doing well then got hurt.   Ashby and Lauer and Miley going down doesn’t help matters.

I’d still put my money on STL winning the division.
