It's not gonna be close due to unusual fast start by the Packers. Janis does great on returns, but does not score. Eddie scores two TDs, one on a screen, one on a run, and a first quarter defensive TD (forced fumble by Peppers, returned by Clay) doesn't let the Seahawks adequately utilize Beast Mode. Pack up 24-10 at the half and win going away 38-24. Rodgers with a respectable night, but it's truly a team win.

Janis this and Janis that... Micah Hyde is listed as the KR and PR on packers.com. I doubt MM is going to toss a rookie in there to return kicks in that type of atmosphere.
Yup
You may see Janis for a play or two at WR, and all he's going to do is go deep. Agreed that he's not going to handle returns just yet.
It's going to come down to the last possession. It seems like it's been about 155 years since GB has won its opener. That's probably because the honks in New York realize that putting GB on national TV against a really good opponent = good TV. When's the last time GB opened with a tomato can?
I like your outlook there Ya! I want to see the Packers play aggressively, and like it's a freakin War! I want this game. I would also like to see Caroline choke on her gum.
Pack by 6.
There'll be a winner, there'll be a loser; unless it is a tie, in which case there'll be no winner nor loser.
Grow some ****ing balls Excalibur or get the **** lost.
Pack 24-20.

Last time they opened the season against a really bad team was against the Lions at Lambeau back in 2001 (Millen's first seaon, they started out 0-12). Packers won 28-6. That awful opener in 2005 against the Lions in Detroit (Ahmad Carroll was flagged nine billion times, Javon Walker blew out his knee after acting like a whiny bitch the whole off-season) qualifies as a "bad team", but the Packers were pretty bad themselves.

Agreed on PR but I think Harris is going to be the primary KO return guy to start the season.
I like both Adams and Janis long-term but the less I see of them on Thursday the better. Hard to see this as anything other than a close and hard-fought game and I've got the Packers coming up a bit short.

Another "instant classic" that the Packers are on the wrong side of? Then we need to see eleventy billion replays of it on NFL Network.
"Another "instant classic" that the Packers are on the wrong side of? Then we need to see eleventy billion replays of it on NFL Network". Most smart people who dont want to watch something on a channel usually just grab the remote and turn on another channel, its so easy even a simpleton can do it.
That is one of the best posts I've read here in a long, long time. I'm just not sure why.
Team that wins the turn over battle will win the game.
Probably the worst draw of any team this year. The place will be electric. They will raise the championship banner. They will play a highlight film on the big screens prior to kickoff. The Hawks will enter into a frenzy. Pack really hasn't much of a chance against all that.
Hawks 27
Pack 17
I think the Packers are the perfect team to face all that. You can limit Rodgers. You can limit Lacy. But you can't stop both.

Yeah Boris, you can always watch another reality show.

I wouldn't have expected anything else from you. I'm guessing writing about the Packers losing is like erotica to you.
So, are you going to show up after the Pack wins 27-23?
And he won't show up when the Packers win 30-13 either.
Or when Spurs tie 1-1 with Sunderland, Lovepack, you putz?
So a prediction thread is really only a place proclaim a victory? Anything else puts you in the dip**** category....
Yeah that's it.
I'm not going to predict a score, but I'd be a little surprised if the Packers win this game. Hope I'm wrong.
Gotta keep the streak going & make it 0-3. Easy? Hell no....but that's what makes the win sweet & rewarding.
I know this much....If the Packers play their game & don't turn the ball over & execute the game plan properly. They're going to be very tough to beat even for Seattle in Seattle.
The same is probably true for Seattle.

Pakrz, meet Lovepack.
