When commenting on Tony Romo's performance against the Jets, he said it was one of the best games he's ever seen him play. I'm hoping he plays that way against us and turns the ball over at crucial times. But that comment shouldn't surprise me after the way Jones tried to cram more seats into his stadium for the SB and wound up screwing over a bunch of fans when the seats weren't ready. Old fart must think everyone's gullible as hell.

I had kinda forgotten that... what a pox he is on that team.

I don't know about "first class org" but their teams and coaches used to be enviable. But it all starts at the top now.
If we're looking at the body of work of Tony Romo, it was one of his better games. It followed the typical Romo script, flashes of brilliance, a few missed throws, horrible decisions when it really counted. He put some points on the board against a tough D on the road so Jerry's giving him a flyer... (again)

It helps Romo that it's week 1. Same game in week 12 when a wild card berth is still mathematically up for grabs and we'll get the JJ, "I'm not going to comment today. I'm going to sit down and look at everything and everyone and then make some decisions. Obviously I'm not happy right now" post game burp.....(again)
I think most people are overly critical of Romo, not due to play, but to the attention he gets as the Cowboys QB. He's not in the same league as Rodgers, Brees, Manning and Brady, - he just gets the same amount of press because of the team he plays for.

But to be fair, there are a lot of teams in the league that would love to have him.

IMO, the real problem in Dallas is not Romo, but rather that their GM is just a guy that had enough money to purchase the team and give himself a job he was (and remains) unqualified for.
Romo isn't even the best QB in Texas, and you're right in large part - if he played in Jacksonville or Nashville, he'd be just another good QB with a tendency to choke and not a star. He's promoted as a great QB, and that he is not. People don't like manufactured stars like he is, even though by all accounts he's a good guy off the field.

They always seemed like a class organization back when Tom Landry was coaching there. But, after Landry it started to go the other direction with the likes of Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer.

Yes I do. RT @TJ2399: Do u really believe that Romo can lead the cowboys to a super bowl?

Spoken like a true Cowboy apologist. In all honesty, if Trent Dilfer can get a ring, so can Romo. The real question is whether Stretch Jones can lead Dallas to a SB. If he keeps meddling with his team like Al Davis, I say never again.
