I hope the door hit Marsellus very hard in the ass on the way out.
I think the NFL really needs to look into this situation. Something still isn't quite right with the entire string of events.
Grave Digger posted:You’re all right. Stupid post. I deleted it.
You did walk right into it. Heyward must of seized up when he saw that one.
Just be glad he didn't ask you to watch.
How do you know GD wouldn't like watching?
Packers release LB Mathews
Copied this title off the official Packer website. Well first I wiped up the coffee I spilled and changed clothes.
Derrick from the practice squad. Anybody think this is playing in boreland?
This story keeps getting more interesting. Source says there is a good chance Martellus Bennett plays tonight for the #Patriots. It’s the expectation. Three days on the roster & now on the field.

Since Kraft and Goodell play footsie, nothing will be done.
3 catches for 38 yards - then he "went under the tent" to have his shoulder "examined" F**K him - Piece of $#!T!
M. Bennett | 3 | 38 | 0 | 27 |
It's an amazing turn of events given his departure from the Packers and how he ran his mouth on the way out the door. It's clear to me now he's a lying POS and it just confirms to me that New England cannot be trusted. MB can play dumb all he wants but you know damn well the Cheatriots will take any angle to gain an advantage. **** Marty and **** the Pats.
I thought the level of frustration and outrage could not surpass the Anthony Barr incident but I was completely wrong. This is far worse as it shows the guy has zero integrity and now he is trying to backtrack to cover his ass. He threw the Packers franchise under the bus for no reason so I hope he gets what he deserves. Karma is a beeotch MB you fraud. And I hope the Pats eat a big schit sandwich at some point as well.
His agent tells teams not to pick him up off the waivers since he needs surgery... until Pat's come calling. Then he says, "f*ck it, I'm playing".

Martellus Bennett’s shoulder injury is related to a broken collar bone suffered by another player, a first in modern day medicine. This will be studied for years

Tynes splits the uprights on that one - nice to see that most NFL players know what this is all about. F**k Martellus Bennett!
I know it would never happen, but sweet, sweet revenge would be AR coming back to lead GB into the Super Bowl and beating Lil' Lyin' Bennett and Brady. Dreaming.............
Right now, Joe Johnson is probably going to call Bennett up and thank him for taking over the title of "Worst FA acquisition in Packers' history". What a weasel.

We can dream about Aaron Rodgers and the Packers exacting sweet revenge on Bennett and the Patriots, can't we? That would be beyond awesome.
On the other hand, a nightmare scenario would be Bennett catching a TD pass from Brady as New England wins its sixth Super Bowl followed by Bennett tweeting FU to the Pack and their fans.
It would be sweet if he were to sustain a real shoulder injury that leaves him unable to play, and have the Cheatriots on the hook for his entire salary.
He can heal enough to pass his physical next year at TC, and as soon as NE is obligated to pay him that year's salary, BAM! Shoulder pops apart and he's done for.
I listened to the pregame tonight on Westwood 1 as I was driving home from work. They interview Tom Brady every week. He stated he knew how great it would to have Marsellusout back on the Pats. He did not say how great it was once he was released but how great it would be to have him back. I think the NFL needs to investigate if there was collusion by Brady and the Pats prior to the Packers releasing him.
My thoughts exactly and I've been looking at national media for this angle and all I get is Boomer Esiason talking about what a crappy play this was by Bennet. No collusion hint and I think this is ridiculous. The storyline from I am retiring, I need surgery, don't claim me because I'm going to get surgery to hell yeh Bill - to playing on Monday is absurd.
Forget it. Goodell will never look into it as he and Kraft are best buddies. GB could probably file a complaint, but a) I doubt they do that and are probably just happy to be rid of him and his attitude, and b) the NFL won't look into it anyway. But by not looking into it, the NFL opens the door for other players to do the same. For example, Andrew Luck can pull an MB to get out of Indy. "Owie, owie! I need to retire because my shoulder hurts and I need surgery. Wait. GB is calling? Put me on a plane!"
My biggest disappointment is the sports media giving MB a pass on this. SI's King says nothing other than, wow, Bennett went from being released and taking his kid to school to playing the same week. No one has grilled him about the stunt he pulled. So much for hoping the media points out the hypocrisy.
Some silver lining..
Interesting. By cutting Bennett prior to week 10, Packers should benefit as far as compensatory picks are concerned. According to https://t.co/romUvoWYtT, it now looks like a third-round pick and 3 fifth-round picks. https://t.co/NZd8A8tiwl

This is going to be one great draft year for Packers. I believe we also have an extra 7th round pick( from a trade), which brings our total to 12.
I'm really looking forward to player development.
Yeah, Capers sure knows how to coach 'em up!
BB after the SB: hey Marty, we're not going to pay you what you want but I have a great scheme that will get you paid and you'll still be able to play for me and TB. You just have to take a little time off out in the midwest. You don't really even have to work.
MB: b'OK!
BB: see ya in November.
Finally, a sports article that tells how Bennett got what he wanted... Linky here.
As part of the pact the Packers signed with Satan prior to the 2010 playoffs, the Vikings will be playing New England this year in the SB.
****, ****, ****, NO!!! ****!
Agree. Unfortunately, Vikings looking good right now. I'm hoping that annual implosion doesn't skip a year...
We shouldn't be surprised. Low character is the reason why a player as talented as Bennett has played on 5 teams in his career. You'd hope karma catches up to guys like him but I'm not holding my breath.

CBS Sports Boston has a typical Patriots response to this story. It goes something like, yeah maybe MB was a bit wrong, yeah maybe the Packers were a bit wrong, yeah maybe the Patriots were a bit wrong - but who cares. We are the Patriots and this just shows why every player wants to come here. My take anyways.

Depends on where the "implosion" comes from. So the Vikings get to the SB. Yes they may have the hotel space, but no way to get to the game. This may get JJ off the hook for his SB blunders. Ineptitude comes in many forms.

If Tom Brady goes down for the season next week, I look for Bennett's injury to flare up enough that he probably will have to go on IR. He's a frontrunner and as soon as the going gets tough, he'll get going... going towards not playing anymore that is.

New England Patriots TE Martellus Bennett (hamstring, shoulder) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Nov. 16.
------------
We've seen this movie before...
Anyone want to bet me he plays this weekend?
I choose not to care about said NEP players.
The are in Mexico City this week
Splains a lot. He (MB) can get stuff down in Mexico the NFL can't find in a test.
What?
He may still get his ring, but Martellus will not be helping the Pats win this year's Super Bowl on the field.
Sweeping the fake injury thing under the rug by placing him on IR. Patriots claimed him on Waivers. They get to deal with the contract this season.
Bull****. Bennett saw the train bearing down on him because his story was such a farce it was unreal. There is no way his story doesn't get more scrutiny even if it was after the season was over. That was the most blatant act of chicanery that absolutely flies in the face of the current contract. Pats would gladly oblige because they are most definitely party to the **** show.
