Bucks get a guy for nothing that's three years younger than Igoudala and a better 3 point shooter than either Igoudala or Covington.

If he'd have gone to the Lakers, ESPN would lead with it. If he goes to the Bucks, it might not even make Sportscenter.

Wings: Giannis, Middleton, Ilyasova, M. Williams, Wilson, Thanasis victory cigar

Centers: B. Lopez, R. Lopez, Bender

Guards: Bledsoe, Hill, DDV, Matthews, Connaughton, Korver, S. Brown,

They may only have 1 superstar, but they have 15 legit NBA players who'd get minutes on almost any team.

“That’s terrible. Sh*t. I’m pissed.” - Kemba Walker on Marvin Williams heading to the Bucks as he leaves. Walker noted he’s going to text Williams. Walker reacted by saying, “damn,” and was in shock in his scrum when he heard the news.

The Bucks’ patience was rewarded.

It’s ironic- it was quite the debate on this forum about Marvin Williams vs Andrew Bogut. I was on board with the Aussie. Bogut was a key player when the Warriors won their first title. 5 years later, Williams has a chance to do the same.

I’m guessing Bender gets the axe. Brown gives them depth at 2-3 positions. Bender’s done. No place in the rotation for him.

I think it’s Ersan whose rotation spot is in jeopardy. He’s the athletic wing they need to back up Giannis. Ersan might get some run against less athletic lineups, but come playoff time Williams will prevent the Bucks from the huge scoring droughts and defensive mismatches.

Much like adding Korver it’s another fantastic move.

MW can shoot and he’s probably a better defender than he gets credit for and they gave up nothing to get him.

Horst just killing it

And almost as important, Williams (and Korver) going to the Bucks prevents them from from ending up on the Sixers, Raptors, Celtics, or Heat.

I don't care as much about the Lakers or Clippers. I at least want the Bucks to make it out of the East.

It's Bender.

From Wojnarowksi 5 minutes ago:

Milwaukee is waiving Dragan Bender, clearing the way to sign F Marvin Williams as soon as Monday, league sources tell ESPN. Williams buyout is complete with Charlotte and will be waived as soon today.

Will be interesting to see how the playoff minutes are used. Nice versatility with how Bud will use Ersan and Williams.  Ersan’s vet presence when needed but use Williams when more athleticism is needed.

Giannis, Middleton, Bledsoe, Brook, Wes

Hill, Dante, Ersan

Patty, RoLo, Korver

Marvin

Too bad about Bender as he has upside

Cool stuff. And they still have Indy's first rounder.

Funny hearing that comment from Kemba. I can see the text from Kemba to Marvin now....

Kemba: Damn bro....Milwaukee?!??

Marvin: Yup

Kemba: You're killing me over here.

Marvin: Time to win a Championship. See you in the playoffs. 😉

Kemba: C'mon son!
