Keonig friggin' sucks. They need Jackson back badly.
He was due for an off game. His shots looked good, a lot of ins and outs. I think we will keep him. This was a Jackson type game. No way Trimble or Wells go for that many with Jackson playing.

Couple pretty stupid comments in this thread, thanks for not disappointing.
Disappointed in the defense again, they let other teams shoot way to high a percentage. Bucky has an incredibly efficient offense, but when that goes away they lose. I don't even think Maryland played that great of defense.
Trae gives this team depth. This team needs depth. Showy/Dukkan/Brown are starting to give deficit minutes.
Seemed like whenever they got within a possession they would turn it over, didn't expect that from this team.
Probably ends the 1 seed discussion, that is fine. Lets see how they bounce back.
Dang it.......
Won't have a road game like that in the tourney.....
The issue is that when the game is actually on the line, Koenig doesn't deliver. As long as they have a comfortable lead, he's money. Jackson drives me nuts some times too, but Koenig never seems to be able to handle late-game pressure.
MC can tell Showy has been working on his shot and Herc can tell Bronson can't handle late game pressure. Glad you both operate on a sample of one.
So how far do they fall? I'm thinking out of top 10. Dang it....
They lost to the #14 team in the country on the road and it was a 1 possession game with under 3 minutes. If they beat MSU on Saturday, they'll drop no lower than 6 or 7. Maryland is a good team They are 17-1 at home.
Too early to talk NCAA seedings until all the conference tourneys are done.
The Badger offense efficiency rating is higher with Koenig starting than it was with Jackson starting but Koenig sucks. I nominate that post as the dumbest post of the year.
Too much angst. Maryland is pretty good. Nothing that cannot be fixed, shoot just a bit better than 38 from the field and 58 from the line and they maybe pull it out.
We shall now see if Bo owns Izzo which of course means does Bo get the lads back on track. HE always has, no reason to think he will not this time. Does last nites result change tJacks arrival time?
Hmm, with that schedule, yes they do.
It's all been said in this thread, depth and free throw shooting seem to be their achillies heal so far. Too many misses by money guys lately and it bit them tonight finally.
That being said, this was a 'championship' game for Maryland and was going to be tough to win regardless if they shot 'decent.'
How Bucky bounces back on Sunday will be interesting.
By the way, one thumbs down for Maryland fans. This was not a storm-the-court worthy win. They've 'been there before' and should know better.
Another thumbs down for Bo for this: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/0...-after-marylands-win.
Not one of his best decisions and I'm sure he will get hammered on it all day today.
38% from the field and 58% from the line on the road against a top 15 team = loss. With those stats I am surprised it was as close as it was. Not the end of the world, just a game where they could have done better.
This year's team doesn't seem to handle good competition as well as last year's. IMO. Beat up on the weak sisters....sure...but things sure get shaky when they play good teams.

They've lost three games. I'm guessing you haven't taken any sort of look at their schedule. They've lost to Duke at home, got debacled at Rutgers (hardly a good team) without Kaminsky and mostly Jackson and walked into a buzzsaw with their C- game last night and lost by six.
They've beaten Georgetown in a close game on a neutral site, slapped Oklahoma around, beat a decent bubble-type team in Cal on the road and ass-hammered a good Green Bay team. The fact that they've only had 7 games all year decided by fewer than 10 points means they're good regardless of their competition.
Agreed with the rest though that this was hardly the end of the world. They were not going to be a number one seed most likely anyway and they're all but a lock to win the B1G regular season. This result won't change much but could wake these guys up a bit, as they were probably due for a loss. Glad it happened now instead of a few weeks from now.
I've seen every single game this season. I know their record. I know they have won tough games. It just seems to me this year's team is more tense and struggles against good teams, even when they win. Michigan for example.
There is something to the Trae confidence factor that the team lacks without him. Last year they had an underdog feel and played up to their competition. At times this year they've played down a bit, not to the bad teams, but to that second level of teams like Minnesota and Penn State. It has to do a lot with the team's depth.
Very good team, I think they came from down 11 to tie it up at 47 last night, that was nice. I just have a weird uneasy feeling about them. JMO
Kentucky has had a lot of close calls. Virginia has struggled to beat inferior teams. So has Wisconsin, with Michigan as a good example you provided. Duke has had its share of tough games against teams that on paper it should have blowed out. Even Gonzaga, with that schedule full of slappies other than Arizona, has had some close calls.
That's college hoops. You're going to have tough, grinding games, especially on the road and in-conference, and especially in big conferences. In years past, Wisconsin was the 'lesser' team that gave the favorites fits regularly. This year, Wisconsin is the powerhouse that's playing with a target on its back every night.
I'm actually of the opinion that I'd like to see UW play some more close games before the season is out, as that's going to make them more battle-tested. And yes, getting Jackson back will help, particularly on the defensive end and because it makes the two-deep at PG a ton better than it is now.

Agree. That is what I am talking about. I'd like them to get more comfortable and confident in close games. Frank has it at times. But it seems like Dekker and Gosser and BK just start launching 3s when they are behind with the hope they will go in. I think/hope Hayes has a big game in him yet for tourney time. He disappears sometimes (ala Dekker) more than I thought he would this season.
I think we can all agree the telecast needed a few more shots of Maryland cheerleaders.
Talk about recruiting video...

Despite the predicament, Bo Ryan played the role of comic relief.
"I picked a bad day to stop sniffing glue," Ryan deadpanned from the famous movie Airplane.
Holy cow boy, you like your post so much you have to post it 3 times. Your link doesn't work either.
And this too, the Badgers win ten in a row and most threads have less than 10 posts. They lose a game and everyone comes out of the woods and rips the team and Bo. They know exactly why they lost, what players suck and how to fix things. It was 1 loss. If you can bitch when they lose you can applaud when they win too. I thought I was back on the Packer forum for a minute.

Thank-you.
As the father of a college girl I felt a little dirty for noticing.
No they didn't. Duke won in overtime. VA Tech had the last shot in regulation and missed a lay-up.
