With our D, the O had very little room for error. Played brilliantly and overcame D deficiencies in every game but KC and Giants. Too bad the second one actually meant something. Expected that team with record worst D wouldn't win SB so wasn't surprised, but disappointed they couldn't get past first playoff opponent. The O scores their usual 40+ at home and it's just like the game in the Meadowlands.

I didn't recognize them in that game.

It was brutal, and really not ever close.

As bad as the Pack played, it actually was close. A 1 score game well into the 4th quarter. The last 8 minutes of the game, it totally fell apart, but it was a game before that. Hopefully the Pack takes something from it that they will never allow that type of performance to happen again at Lambeau in the playoffs.
They picked the worst time of the year to play their worst game of the year. I don't think the Packers would have beaten Minnesota that day as bad as they played.

NYG played better and they also got the breaks. On the Rodgers fumble, the Giants blew coverage and 1 second later Jennings is streaking down the sidelines with a long TD. Instead, the Packers turn the ball over yet again and it was the game in a nutshell. Coulda shoulda woulda

I hope this is a pissed off defense in 2012. They were a shell of themselves in 2011 when you compare to when Capers first came here.

Yes injuries to guys like Collins and Tramon did them no favors. But there was a lot of piss poor tackling that had little to nothing to do with being hurt.

Agreed. I thought the 2 guys that suffered the "Super Bowl hangover" more than anyone were Raji and Shields. Shields was a lot less physical than in 2010 when he wasn't afraid to stick a guy. Raji looked like maybe he just wasn't in condition and was spent pretty early in the year. Woodson and Peprah also seemed to forget how to tackle. The secondary coaches really need to focus on fixing Williams (if healthy), Woodson, Shields and Co. They all seemed to just try to bump guys down instead of wrap up and tackle.

They didn't play a game anywhere near that bad all season long. Not even the loss to K.C.

We know why they did on that day. Nobody wants to admit it because they're all professionals but guess what...

They're human & they have a heart.

End of story. Can we move along now?
Yup.

With the exception of Driver, every skill position player had a bad game. I am guessing the above cause is more evident with skill position players.

How else does almost everyone happen to have a lousy game?

I agree.
