One of the most dynamic NFL offenses is the Saints. Pete Carmichael has been their OC for the last 10 seasons. Bring on what he has learned from Payton and Brees and put him to work.
Agreed. I'll make some calls.

Trade MM to Cleveland for Joe Thomas?
And for the love of God, if the next HC has a mission statement please have someone proof read it before posting it to Packers.com!
FatBoy MM will be fortunate if he is not run out of green bay on a rail. I hope no one kills his dog. (A la Dan Devine). MM's offensive scheme is stale and every D coordinator in the league knows what the pack is gonna do in any offensive situation!! Please MM evaluate yourself and get the hell out of green bay!! There is a high school team just waiting for you..
I haven't read the article that was referenced, but MM would be a perfect fit in Cleveland. The Browns need stability and consistency from the head coach. And that's MM's strength and his weakness. MM goes there and makes the playoffs in a couple of years and he's a hero.
They're also finally starting to stockpile pretty good talent. I think MM would do well in that situation and with Mayfield.
Might we like this fellow if M3 hits the bricks?
Pass on any white man that thinks this is an acceptable chapeau.
There's been talk that John Harbaugh is on thin ice in Baltimore. I'd take him in a heartbeat.
Lincoln Riley
The more I think about it, the more it seems likely that MM will not be fired. With his direct line to Murphy, he has surely complained about the lack of talent at key positions, especially on the defensive side. And Gute obviously did not address all the roster holes in the off-season and will need to turn over more of the roster next year. The safety position is a disaster right now, the OLB and TE groups need an overhaul next season and O-line needs a young talent infusion - UDFA's and low round picks are not cutting it and Bulaga is nearing the end of his career. While every team has weaknesses, the roster has glaring weaknesses in too many places to be fixed in a single season. I think McCarthy gets next year to prove himself assuming Gute makes strong off-season moves to provide a more competitive roster.
Mike McCarthy's career in GB also.

These are valid points, but I think that the negative dynamic between Rodgers and McCarthy, and the underachieving offense, for which MM has sole responsibility will override all of them and lead to his dismissal.
My guess is if Rodgers wants MM gone, he’ll be gone. If not, he’ll stay. I hope that’s not the case, but I think it is.

Here is Ohio (ugh) there is constant chatter about who could coach the Browns and the one name you never ever hear is MM. Not at all saying he couldnt end up on Cleveland just what I hear. Anyhow, I would bet if MM choses to coach again he would have his pick of jobs.
Cleveland, Baltimore, Denver, and possibly Arizona are the teams that will or possibly have openings.
So ok I will ask everyone who wants MM fired who do you want to see as the HC of the Packers? Its easy to want change but what do you want to change to?
LIncoln Riley? the college guys to me in the NFL is a serious roll of the dice
Pettine? he has said he really doesn't want to be a HC again.
A coach on the current staff?
A defensively minded coach? or an offensive guy to keep AR happy?
Josh McDaniels? he backed out on the Colts and stayed put and was so-so in his one HC gig (11-17 with Denver)
Teryl Austin the Bengals DC. I guess he has been interviewed a ton of times and is considered a hot candidate and has turned some jobs down to stay with Marvin Lewis
Jim Bob Cooter I just HAD to put his name on this list
James Betcher the Cards DC who is a hot name in coachng circles
Some think Chris Peterson from the university of Washington could make the jump
Could Jim Harbaugh get the itch to coach in the NFL would you want him? or John Harbaugh if he is fired?

I think, as with the article below, there is a lot of negativity towards MM at the moment from the national media and as a result of lot of fans are not that keen about him. The perception of MM may be very different in the front offices including Dorsey in Cleveland.
And I am not saying I agree with it, or at least agree with all of it, but if Aaron is getting criticized, and he is, you can sure bet that the head coach is going to receive his share of the blame as well.

Titans OC Matt LaFleur or 49ers DC Robert Saleh. Supposedly both guys are the next great up and comers. Certainly DeFilippo has done well at MIN as well.

This is a great point.
Why isn't the current GM being considered on WHO he would like as HC?
Does Murphy pull the strings on whether MM stays or goes? If so, then why only the 1 year deal?? Why not a 5 year deal?
C'mon SON! The buck should stop with Gutey - he should have 100% control to hire & fire the HC.
Wasn't this kinda $#!T happening a few years ago too?

I 'd take both Harbaugh's in a heart beat. I know Jim's a nutcase but I want a fire lit under this team. Nowadays being a nutcase can get you a presitgious job in this land. Plus I'll take an 8-8 team that plays exciting rock em sock em football every week instead of 10- 6, lose to teams you should beat every year and get boat raced out of the playoffs every time.
Remember Detroit in 2011. Nothing to gain the last game of the season. wide open sheets to the wind football. No worries no angst. It's Katy bar the door!
I actually kind of like Jim Harbaugh and yet I'd say no way to him coming to the Pack. I just think he and Rodgers would clash and Harbaugh would likely burn out quickly like he did in San Fran. He did a great job there for 3 years, but left scorched earth at the end. Maybe it wasn't all his fault, but I think he had a hand in their complete collapse. I think he's better at Michigan where he's in complete total control of football operations and doesn't have anyone over him for the most part.
I hate Harbaugh but I'm too old to care anymore! I want a reason to watch on Sundays.
Harbaugh would be a disaster.

Yup, no way Jim is coming back to the NFL unless it's as HC/GM...no way the "3 silos" at 1265 fit his style.
As much as I hate that turd, he was a hell of coach at SF.
Did they legalize marijuana in WI?
Harbaugh is Jerry Glanville.
Jim Harbaugh - if he comes back to the NFL he will last 3 or 4 years & his message will get old & stale - that's why it works in college - players are there 2-4 years then gone & onto the pros or other life activities.
John Harbaugh - I would like. I believe he is excellent

Cool link, Goldie.
We'd expect no less from Goldie.
Actually, we'd expect it three weeks from now after two other people have posted it.
Probably a genus. No one sent Ron a fax of what all the ST teams are doing around the league.
Take note Mark. Exactly the way it should be. This is a new way of thinking in Cleveland. It used to be the owners making this decision:
General manager John Dorsey will lead the search for the next Cleveland Browns head coach, a team spokesman confirmed Wednesday.
The next coach will replace Hue Jackson, who was fired Oct. 29, one day after a loss at the Pittsburgh Steelers. The final decision on selecting the coach will be made by Dorsey
While I think he's a fine coach, Lincoln Riley has never played or coached a minute in the NFL. He's 3 months older than #12. Had he been an OC in the NFL, or even a QB coach, I might be inclined to take a risk.
He's never had to hire or fire a coach, he's never had to prepare for a draft, and he has two very seasoned guys, Ruffin McNeill and Shane Beamer to lean on at Oklahoma. If you wanted to hire him as OC, I'd be all for it...but he's not leaving OU to become an NFL OC.
If this job opens (and that's a BIG IF), there will be lots of guys eager to take it.
Mike Sherman is available. Maybe he could bring Johnny Football with him.
I am firmly in the NO for Jim Harbaugh but I think John Harbaugh would be an ok fit.
As BVAN said it will ultimately come down to who Gute wants (or makes a move at all). LIke a previous poster I could see a scenerio where Gute thinks that there are talent holes on this roster and perhaps would think it being unfair to can MM based upon that. We of course can only speculate how MM and the front office are getting along, how MM and #12 are getting along, and if MM's message is stale. Or perhaps MM just steps down as coach.
