Bores/Vikes game this week is a tough call.
If the Vikes lose, we have the same record, tie for 2nd place in the division and for the 6th playoff seed. The Bores would go to 7-3, 2 games up in wins, but only 1 game up in losses.
If the Vikes win, however, they take over the division lead, remain one game ahead of us, and put Chitcago only 1/2 game up on us with same number of losses.

All assuming we win, of course.

If the Packers lose this week it really doesn’t matter what happens in the Bores and Queens game as the Packers will be done.  Finito.

GB needs to beat Seattle.  And basically win most if not all the rest of their games. Very little if any margin for error.

Oh, oh....

I thought you would have learned not to end seasons prematurely based upon your July "Seasons' over" comments about the Brewers...I'm glad you weren't in my unit at Dunkirk.

To be fair, the Brewers' season is over, isn't it?

Your unit in Dunkirk.  You were there?  Thank you for your service and amazing life expectancy.  Or maybe you are a vampire that also fought at Vicksburg and Lexington.

I’d rather be humorless than just a flat out lame ass that always has to try to one up everyone.  Or correct everyone because you think your the smartest guy in the room.  Yeah we know your type.   Congrats.

I stated an opinion.  Feel free to provide a rebuttal.  Or not.  It’s a message board talking sports!  Oh the horror!

The fact that you didn't mention my excellent hair makes you seem petty and small.

Cheers.

They ended it in October.

It was a lot later than July.  More like Aug 25th or so.  And just like the Scrubbies the Bores have not had their slump yet.  Give them time, give them time.

Riche Haven's legacy is underappreciated.

Agreed, Richie Havens was a great guy to lead off the festival.  Wish I would have gotten to see him play in person.

I've seen that Woodstock film maybe 6 or 7 times.  I was born one month before the festival, so it kind of feels like going in a time portal to see what life was like when I was coming into this world.   In some ways, it would have been cool to have been there, and in other ways not.  Once you were there, you were kind of stuck as there was no good way in or out of there the traffic was so bad.

To no one's surprise, the Packers are the potential #1 coaching job vacancy in 2019:

1. Green Bay Packers

Biggest strength: Aaron Rodgers
Biggest weakness: Young talent

The biggest weakness with the Packers, truthfully, is Mike McCarthy. Any coach coming in to replace McCarthy would have an enormous advantage by virtue of getting to work with arguably the most talented quarterback in league history in Rodgers. While Rodgers turns 35 in December, his contract suggests that the Packers see him as an essential part of their team through 2021. I don't think I need to explain why Rodgers would be an enticing asset for a coach, so I'll stop now.

The Packers are in reasonable cap shape and have an ownership group that has been extremely patient ... outside of that time they gave Ray Rhodes one year as coach in 1999. Before Rhodes, Mike Holmgren was at the helm for seven seasons. After Rhodes, Mike Sherman got six seasons in charge, and McCarthy is working on his 13th season at Lambeau. Whoever replaces McCarthy will seemingly be fired almost immediately or get two presidential terms to work things out.

The only thing that isn't quite up to task is the talent around Rodgers, which led to GM Ted Thompson getting kicked upstairs after the 2017 season. Thompson famously eschewed free agency in favor of amassing draft picks, and while that helped him build a Super Bowl winner, his drafting prowess waned in recent years. The 2012-15 drafts delivered four star-caliber contributors in Nick Perry, Mike Daniels, David Bakhtiari and Davante Adams, but the only other players left from those years on the Packers roster are Corey Linsley and Jake Ryan. While the Packers might have imagined a secondary with first-round picks Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Damarious Randall playing alongside second-rounders Quinten Rollins and Casey Hayward, none of those guys are left in Lambeau.

You know what? I don't think the new Packers coach will be complaining too much. The Packers are 14th in defensive DVOA, and while Rodgers has been inconsistent while recovering from the knee injury he suffered in Week 1, there might not be another quarterback in the league you would prefer to put on the field for one final drive in the fourth quarter. Every coach wants to prove that he can mold a young quarterback into a successful NFL starter. Every coach also would prefer to take Aaron Rodgers if they had the chance.

ARGHHH! Didn’t we see this before on Favre’s last throw in GB? Passing up the open guy in hopes of making a bigger play? Yes, Rodgers is looking left, but he never even looks in Jones’ direction and takes a stupid sack. And yes, this play could have made the difference—Jones either makes a first down or goes TD and we open a bigger lead. Instead, it’s Crosby time again.

Which raises the point--why won't Rodgers throw that ball?  Has MM lost control of Rodgers such that he can't make Rodgers run the play as called?

Which makes me ask: how many times does Rodgers change the play at the LOS? If we knew that, it would tell us who is actually running the show.

Outlet is there, but that's not where the ball is designed to go.   Should Rodgers see that yes.   Should MM make life for everyone on offense easier by calling plays designed to pick up 5 yards instead of 20 on 3rd n 3.  Yes.
