I’ve gone the cheaper route and put in Asus AIMesh in my house. It’s been good, not wonderful. Cellphone interface is pretty nice and easy to use. I will probably upgrade to Orbi in the future, as I’ve heard good things, but Asus has been fine for now. Not as pretty as good google or nest systems, but I hide the nodes behind TVs and you don’t see them.

Best thing I did was run Cat6 all over the house. Since my wife and I are WFH full time it’s made a big difference. I have the other nodes on Ethernet as well, that seemed to help the mesh consistency and performance. Pain in the ass to crawl around in the attic and run cable, but worth it in the end.
