Mets @ Brewers Game 2

It might be determined before this weekend.  Taylor Rogers is taking care of that.

Taylor Rogers gets smoked for a grand slam right after Boxberger gets hammered the previous inning. The Padres are starting to distance themselves, but the Phillies are trying to keep the Brewers in a pennant race (giving up 18 runs tonight).

Rogers ERA as a Brewer now at 6.63.

I sure hope they use the money they saved on the Hader trade to extend Woodruff or Burnes, but I'm guessing they'll get sold off in the next year or so as well.

Nice job by Showalter bringing in his closer to finish off the 8th with the tying run at the plate.  Play to win the game!  Wish we’d see that with CC.

1-0 going into the bottom of the 7th. Adames with the long ball.

2-0 bottom of the 7th with 2 on and no one out.

So it will probably be 2-0 going into the 8th.

Brousseau with an 0-2 GRAND SLAM with 2 outs!

Vlad Guerror just hit a 3 run homer in the 8th, Jays lead Phillies 3-0.   Maybe the Brewers will finally pick up a game.

No such luck. Brewers are almost down to having to win every game. Winning series may not be enough.

The Phillies and Brewers are fighting to see which team can play slightly better to earn that final WC spot.

A win tonight, 5-1.   Padres lost to the Cards, Phillies beating Braves 1-0 with the Phillies batting in the 8th.

Phillies win so still 2 1/2 back.  But Kolton Wong had 3 homers and drove in all 5 Brewer runs.  What a game for Kolton.
