Hate to mess with the mojo Broxton has right now, but Sogard 2, Brox 8?
10:10 EST first pitch.
Damn you, Eastern Time Zone.
Thames hurt, or just rest?
SAN DIEGO - Eric Thames, Travis Shaw and Orlando Arcia are all out of the lineup tonight as the Milwaukee Brewers open a four-game series against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.
Thames has been dealing with sore legs and Shaw has some sore fingers after a fielding mishap in yesterday's game. Arcia, meanwhile, is getting a night off for the second time in four games.

Oh good, as long as it isn't a Jones fracture.
Aguilar might be my second favorite Brewer right now
Sogard is making it very tough to send him back to AAA.
Nerd power is 6 for 8 in a Brewers uniform so far.
Seems like whomever they put in there they are stepping up with Sogard being the latest example.
Still concerned about the starting pitching (quality) but this team has a good offense and can compete.
Thames, Braun, and Shaw all MIA and we don't notice!
I am liking many of these kids. Pena, Aguilar, Perez, Guerra, Thames, and now Sogard. All guys who didn't quite make it to Major League starter or Major Leagues at all and now seem unstoppable. Could add Broxton except he was a little young when Pittsburgh gave him to us.
Question, is Stearns that good or are Counsell and his staff the difference? Or both?

Take it back
Eric Thames currently launching some home runs in batting practice.

Don't look at the standings... just don't...
5 games over .500 now a quarter of the way into the season. They just keep finding ways to win. As mentioned earlier this is all without our top two sluggers playing recently. Great having Shaw back. They seem to grow as a team with each win. We just might see Thames in the series finale.
More impressive, they haven't had their ace on the mound since the first few innings of opening day
