I wonder if some tough questions will be asked and answered.

Has he fired Capers yet?

I'm interested to hear what the peanut gallery asks about TT/Dom and the philosophy going forward related to our defense.
Ty is a running back and will be changing his number, using the entire off-season working on the running back position.
Questions re Rollins and Randall - Not making any decisions today, MM is excited about their future, and thinks they will be really good players for us. Their off-season workouts start next week.
"Will Dom be your defensive coordinator next year?"
I feel really good about the job our coaching staff did this year. We will have an evaluation for each of them after the Super Bowl. Dom is an outstanding football coach.
Tom Clements is moving on.
"Tom Clements is going to move on to some other interests. His contract has expired."
"Ted is back, I don't see any change in him in far as his vision."
Sucks that Dom is coming back. rinse, repeat.
If Dom is flushed I wouldn't expect it to happen this quickly anyway. Not the way TT/MM work. By that I mean so quickly.
Mike McCarthy on Dom Capers: "This is no time for drama. Dom Capers is an outstanding football coach. He had a tough challenge this year β¦I feel really good about the coaching job that our staff did."
No commitment either way on Dom from MM. That said, it's largely the same language he's used in previous years and the odds of hitting the lottery are probably larger than Dom being given walking papers.
I'm good with that.
Better for team stability to change players than coaches. Get better players on D. Dom can coach them.
Yeah, I love consistency, too. Consistently seeing our D stink in the playoffs.
I wonder if Kevin Greene will return since he has publicly stated he's ready to get back in to coaching?
If were sticking with Dom we need:
1) Improved depth at DT. They got so gassed against Dallas because our top guys played too much.
2) Re-sign Perry and find a replacement for Julius Peppers. A rotational veteran pass rush specialist, maybe Demarcus Ware if affordable.
3) Replace Sam Shields. Gotta have a legit #1 CB. The other guys are good depth, but so far none are a true #1.
4) A true FS. Don't know if that guy is available in FA, or if we will have to trade. Need a Nick Collins.
TT needs to take off the reigns and make Elliot earn his money and find some legit FAs. If he doesn't leave for Indy.
Even if he does leave, there should be a virtual crapstack of info already there to lend a hand.
I don't care if Perry is back or not, they need to get another reliable pass rusher, period. Neither Matthews nor Perry play full seasons and the pass rush is the defense's biggest liability. While they were trotting out a cavalcade of crap numerous times in the backfield last season, a good, consistent pass rush covers a lot of deficiencies.
Heck, I wouldn't even mind Takkarist McKinley as the top pick this year. He'd itch TT's UCLA woody from the start.
The problem with firing Dom is, you would have to fire all the defensive coaches as well. If you don't, you'll end up with Winston Moss as DC and I don't think much else would change.
