Watch Rodgers quit football to be the host of Jeopardy
I'm not pissed off, to the contrary I'm pleasantly pleased. I suspect, based on your posts, you'd rather be pissed on. LOL.

Yeah, but Goldie ranks a hell of lot higher than you so thereâs that. So who gives a fuck about you is the real question.
You get your AAron fix Goldie!!

Here is a fairly long interview AR did with Kenny Mayne of ESPN, some of which will air this weekend. Lots of Jeopardy talk plus a smidgen of Packers.

Aaron Rodgers hosting Jeopardy was a great idea. https://t.co/7Ad96yslXs
I saw it and thought he did very well. The Packers may have to pay him more to keep him.
Heâs no Rolf Benirshke
He did a good job. Hard shoes to fill and he held his own.
I thought he was mediocre. Too monotone and not enough inflection.
Kinda agree...but that's kind of his normal speaking voice.
Let's play Jeopardy!
Things Aaron Rodgers is better at than us average slobs:
-Playing football
-Hosting Jeopardy
-Banging actresses
I mean, I'd be good at banging actresses (Betty White drops her panties when I walk into the room), but I think I have a better shot at hosting Jeopardy.
I think I could convince an NFL team to let me be an honorary 4th string QB to carry the clip board so the third string guy wouldn't wear out his arm - NFL minimum for me will do. To make room for me they could fire the water boy. Hydration is so over rated unless it is flowing down Main Street.
Then again, a TV, some nice munchies, and a Packer game would be less stressful.

You'd be better off if she dropped her teeth.

Lets be honest.
Betty White has been dropping her panties ever since Allen Ludden left the room.
Found on the internet:
Aaron Rodgers is one of the best football players in the history of the game. The Green Bay Packers star is a three-time Most Valuable Player, a Super Bowl-winning quarterback and a certain Hall of Famer.
He might be 37, yet he remains one of the top quarterbacks in the league with several years still left in his tank. In other words, he has a great job and he is great at it.
But there just might be another job out there thatâs even better.
And to put it appropriately in the form of a question: What is the host of âJeopardy?â
Hey, if itâs up to Rodgers, it could happen.
Rodgers is the latest to serve as guest host of âJeopardy.â He taped two weeksâ worth of shows in February and they started airing Monday night.
So, could Rodgers actually end up as the permanent host of âJeopardy?â
This topic has come up recently in football circles. Say youâre Rodgers and the folks at âJeopardyâ came to you and said you could have the full-time hosting job of the iconic game show. But in order to do it, youâd have to retire from football. Would you?
Rodgers is a huge fan of the show and once won the celebrity version of it. He has called hosting âJeopardyâ a âdream job.â
On one hand, as I mentioned, heâs still an elite football player. He makes an average of $33.5 million a year and is signed for three more seasons. He could probably play at least five or six more years, assuming he stays healthy.
But itâs possible that he could host âJeopardyâ for 20 or 30 years, and could probably start off making something like $10 million a year. Maybe more. So the money part might all even out.
Because of all his accomplishments â the records, the awards and a championship â he has no motivation to keep playing other than loving the game, the competition and wanting to win more championships. If Iâm Rodgers, and knowing that being offered the job of hosting âJeopardyâ probably is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I think Iâd do it.
Then again, Rodgers has thought about this and figures he wouldnât have to give up football to do it. He told The Ringerâs Claire McNear, âThey film 46 days a year. I worked 187 this year in Green Bay. That gives me, eh â (pauses) â 178 days to do âJeopardy.â So I feel like I could fit 46 into that 178 and make it work. It would be a dream job for sure, and Iâm not shy at all about saying I want the job. Thatâs how I went into it. I want an opportunity to be in the mix.â
Rodgers makes a pretty good case, too.
âIâm the youngest of any of the guest hosts,â he told McNear. âIâd be the youngest host of just about any major game show, I bring an audience from the NFL, and I feel like I appeal to nerdy people, too, because I was a nerd in high school and got caught in that weird phase of wanting to be a jock and an athlete and also really caring about getting good grades. And at the same time, thereâs not many bigger fans of the show than me. Iâve been watching it for years and years and years. I respect the show and appreciate the history of it, and also thereâs my background of stepping in for a legend (former Packers QB Brett Favre) and their footsteps. I feel like all that combined makes me a pretty good candidate.â
Apparently, Rodgers worked hard to prepare for his guest hosting role. He told ESPNâs Rob Demovsky that he watched âhours and hoursâ of episodes.
âBut I had to watch from a different perspective â from Alexâs perspective,â Rodgers told Demovsky. âI couldnât watch it as a fan anymore. I took pages and pages and pages of notes. I wrote down every affirmative that he said to any type of clue. I wrote down how he would respond if they didnât get it right. I wrote down beat points of the show. I wrote down all the different ways he would take it to break. I wrote down the stuff that he said coming out of break. Literally, I studied for this like no other. I wanted to absolutely just crush it.â
Sounds like a guy who is serious about wanting the job, and word is âJeopardyâ execs were impressed with his performance.
Of course, this is all speculation because it doesnât appear as if âJeopardyâ is close to picking a permanent successor to the great Alex Trebek. The smart money at the moment is on Ken Jennings, who holds the record for âJeopardyâ wins and did a splendid job during his two-week stint as guest host.
Then again, maybe Rodgers and âJeopardyâ can work something out around Rodgersâ football schedule. Or Rodgers could call an audible and give up one great job for another.
I wouldn't blame him. It would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. It would suck incredibly hard for the Packers though. They'd get cap relief and that's about it.
Is Jeopardy responsible for comp picks? That would be a first rounder there.
Rodgers was interviewed this morning on NFL Network and said he intends to keep playing football. So he ainât walking away anytime soon.
Getting your brain scrambled or hosting a game show and still making millions?
I thought he did fine. I think he was a little nervous, but he was able to throw some nice lines in here and there. A lot different from playing football for sure, but he seems like the kind of person that could be great at whatever he wants to do.
He does have to learn how to relax in front of a camera in a setting other than on a field immediately after a game...
I'm watching in hopes of Aaron just looking at the camera and saying "Hey Jaymo, You and all the rest of the Viking fans just plain suck!"

Have you been able to watch?
NO....my husband wouldnât buy a home antenna and wonât let me find a on line show. But my friend in Madison is taping it for me and will save it for me when I visit the first week in May. Damn. I actually am so pissed off at our cable provider for NOT HAVING IT ON ALL THE DAMN CHANNELS WE HAVE. ðĪŽ ðĪŽ ðĪŽ
