Was this gift given so that ARod didn't have to choose between riding some little kid's bicycle or looking like a prima donna who didn't have to go through what is really one of the most charming traditions in Green Bay Packers football?

When I was at TC yesterday with the family, AR12 rolled up in this to the NFL Live set with Kay Adams (complete babe) and James Jones.  There were maybe like 50 fans around as they were wrapping up their final segment (of course a bunch started running over once they realized it was AR - many young kids too).  Kay Adams completely goes into sorority chick mode and flirts hard with AR (giggling and soft hand presses to his shoulder) and when they get ready to interview, JJ gets in the front seat and she jumps on back and she says "drive away with us".  My 16 YO son and his girlfriend were an arm's length from them as they drove past (he's in the G front shirt with black hat next to his gf in the 12 jersey, right next to the cheesehead-wearing 84 jersey) - about the 12-13 second spot of the clip.  After this clip ends, he actually does speed off quite fast into the open area of the parking lot.  I was kind of surprised she didn't flip off the back (if booze was involved, guarantee that would have happened).

He wanted nothing to do with us "fans".  He was there to show off for Adams and she was happy to play the game.  He did not acknowledge anyone else except for a "watch out".  Some little kids asked for autographs and he brushed them off.

Kind of an unfair summary there Koop.  The kids don't look like they're asking for autographs at all.  He waves at them and they wave back, and it looks like he says something to them, which you can't hear but was definitely "acknowledging" them.

I bet it's even something they're still talking about, and in a good way.

Unless they had cancer, in which case I'm positive he swore at them and tried to run them over.

The video doesn't show all the before the ride off in the cart.  He was there for maybe a minute or so before the film started rolling.  Some asked for pics with him and some asked for autographs - all rebuffed...would have been nice pub to actually give out a couple.  Like I mentioned in the post above, there were more coming in the longer he was there - those that quickly stepped away as he began to accelerate and stop were some of those.  It was clear - he was there to check in with his buddy JJ and the smoke show Adams...and that is ok for me.  You are right, those kids that were close by probably came away with a positive experience...but it could have been so much better.
