and sorry, not sure I EVEN LIKE the new one.  I think he’s got this attitude of just watch me........and when we do, his plan stinks.  I thought Mike did let my boy friend bully him or really,  just ignore him and the Packers did win up until Aaron’s plan didn’t  work either.  I’m not onboard with this coach yet......win, and I might change my mind.  Does Aaron really think he owns this coach as well??   I am so afraid the Packers are not going anywhere this year.  JMHO.  and i’m so sorry,

What does MLF''s team have to do this year for you to change your mind? Since winning, you might...

He has to show he is incontrol of his team and has a plan.

Then he has to show his plan wins.  That's about it.

I can't say I have high expectations for this season but it's always nice to be suprised.

Well, if Aaron is getting the winning job done, well then may-be I might like this coach a little better.  Because???  AS OF NOW HE IS NOT MY FAVORITE.    and, oh yah, Aaron hasn’t played a down yet this pre season.  Just saying.....when the real season starts and the Packers are kicking arse, I might just like this coach better.  Right now I DON’T.

Isn’t it spelled flcken?

Goldie, what are your reasons for not liking MLF? If it's his attitude, well, all 32 have an inflated sense of self caused by folks like us catering to them.

I can't say as I like him or not. I want to see how the team reacts when the season starts -- how ready they are to play, their response to wins and losses. I want to hear what he says publicly when the team has a bad performance, and I want to see how it changes -- or doesn't -- the following week. MLF hasn't done anything yet to get fans angry, but neither has he done anything yet to get us cheering.

When they start cutting guys, then let's hear what comes out...

I've liked him better as offseason & training camp has progressed. I was not impressed with his introduction presser when hired, didn't think that he projected confidence. The thing I have liked about his pressers since has been his honesty, saying that certain guys have to play better, etc. Of course it is hard to remember if MM started out this way & then got pissy with the media after a couple of years or not.

No you don't.

Try taking your nose out of my ass.  And what were you doing there in the first place?

I don't want to know.

It's amazing how every single coach winds up getting pissy with the media as time goes by, but somehow it has absolutely nothing to do with the media's actions.

A HC was never hired because of how he came off in an interview.  Lombardi certainly wasn't.  Neither was Bill Belichick (NE).  Neither of these guys wanted to do any interviews - they did them because the league office said they had to.  Both players and the media considered Tom Landry aloof.  I imagine Tom was busy thinking about the next game.  These guys won championships but had no use for certain aspects of the job - unless it suited their ends - winning championships.

I think MLF probably thinks that the press also has a job to do and tries to accommodate.  But it remains to be seen how that changes (positively or negatively) depending on what and how the press prints those interviews in a public setting.  If trust is built then things should be smoother.  If not, it will show up in the interviews but we won't know specifically why.

I sometimes wonder how it would go if I were in there shoes - then I am thankful I am not.

I'm not sure I've seen this many people lose their collective shit over the preseason.

There is something that feels discombobulated about this preseason. 12 being a last second scratch and the team looking bad in all phases against B'More and then the field fiasco in Canada...

All I have to do is present stuff to government and service officials (usually a group of about 40-50 people) from the defense industry on occasion.  That is tough enough.

I don't know how to put this But I'm kind of a big deal Big Deal Ron Burgundy

If the fans in the stands had their way McCarthy and Ted would have been long gone after the 2008 season and Dom Capers never happens. Ever since I've kept an open mind to all input. Good and bad. What are we talking about again?

would you two stop peaching please so the rest of us can talk football

I for one refuse to get excited about the controlled practices that is the preseason.  I also am done talking about MM and the last few years.

I can only imagine the bed wetting that will go on if the Packers start slowly in the regular season.

I thought Mike Sherman was.

Childress. Remember mn was so eager to hire him after the interview they wouldn't let him get on the plane to GB?
