Read that this morning... he commented earlier this year about playing hurt this past season.

From the OTA's...

Interception by Tramon Williams wiped out by an offsides penalty. Rodgers threw it up for grabs cuz of the flag.

Packers have to like Williams being aggressive going for balls. The nerve damage in his shoulder, which he talked about last fall, is healing.
Not that the injuries totally excuse his performance in 2011 but it does make sense. When it happened I seem to recall there being some fear that he might be lost for the season, but he played through it (not very well).

In late 2009 and 2010 he was one of the best corners in the league. Not so much last year. We all know the pass rush sucked but so did Tramon's play on the field.

As an undrafted FA I'm pulling for the guy to return to form.
If we had had quality depth at DB last year Williams could have sat a few games or more to heal up. As banged up as his shoulder was, he was still the best option to keep playing. Consider who the back-ups were, House a raw rookie who had his own TC injury issues and Bush (need I say more), as well as Shields who regressed due to the lockout and also played poorly.

For many reasons I expect substantially improved play from the Defense this year at all 3 levels.
