Have they ever said what Daniels actual injury is. I think I read knee/groin but this doesn't really say what the actual injury is.
We're in new territory with this concussion protocol. Clearly causing headaches vs. previous protocols. It could be worse...Dallas has 18 players out right now.

May hold out some veterans Thursday, but he's leaning toward Aaron Rodgers playing. Newhouse's absence may play a role in decision. But still wants to play guys and said he's not flying the team out there not to play the game.

It's not ideal, but it is an opportunity to test your back up plan for losing your LT on this first preseason game. Bulaga at LT and TJ Lang at RT and EDS at LG. I'm not saying do any empty backfield things and 5 WR sets, but run a series with your experienced vets in this position. This is risky, but not as risky as Herb Taylor.
It is not unusual in the first pre-season game for the starters to play a single series. Especially with replacement refs, I'm thinking a 3-and-out by the starting offense may not be a bad thing. Give Harrell the experience we all hope he never needs to use in the regular season.
