As if this game wasn't nerve racking enough, my wife just told me that my in laws from MN are coming to our house Sunday morning and staying to watch that game. What the ****? Trying to explain to her how this wasn't a good idea seeing they're diehard Vikings fans flew right over her head. "You know, you're not part of the team" she goes. I caved, but please remember me in your thoughts.

If you remember, I relegated myself to watching ****ing Caillou with my 4 year old after the Seattle debacle in 2014 rather than watch the AFCCG because I couldn't stomach football. **** that little bald headed mother ****er and my Viking loving in laws. This year can not and will not be a repeat. I plan to bask in the replays of a Packer's triumph.

Think positive and plan your naked dance in front of those people when the Pack wins!

I have met these "friends of the Vikings" Tavis speaks of. Fine folks. Except when the Vikings are on. Or the Packers are on. Then the are a duo of shallow pettiness.

You cant watch a GB Title game with them man. Set them up in the garage or something. Even after GB wins you have 8 hours of listening to how GB got every ref call to go their way and that GB has no shot in the SB.

This is truly a bad development.

Dude. Fu** that.  Go to Kelsey's for the game...

Curious if MM does to ATL what KC did to us in 2011.  IE, slow the game down.  We put up ridiculous points every week with no-huddle fast paced offense in 2011.  Then KC decides to take long methodical drives against us and just eat the clock so we had no time to put up a ton of points.  Their long drives also wore down our defense.  And we lost that game with a really low score.

If you look at the one low scoring game ATL had this season (vs the Eagles), the Eagles dominated the time of possession, 38 mins to 22.  That's over a quarter more in ToP.  ATL lost that game.  In fact they not only lost, it was their largest margin of defeat all year.

I understand the strategy but I think you only shorten the game if your offense is significantly worse than your opponent. Kc, Philly, Tampa would do this. If we score quick and or often this is not a bad thing.

I think at this point you gotta prepare to win the shootout. If we're scoring tds it doesn't really matter what the defense is doing. Shortening the game is for underdogs, it limits our possessions too. Start the game firing and don't let up

No no no..  Don't do it.   You only get to watch so many NFCC Games in your life.   This is your hobby, ask her to respect that.   She can have Saturday to do hot yoga or whatever the **** she is into.

A little duct tape, a lotta glue, and crossed fingers is keeping several of our players together right now. I would like to keep our D off the field as much as possible. When we're out there a long time, we get exposed. Our D stayed off the field to start the Dallas game and that was great, but as time went on they were out there more and more and far less effective.
