I've been reading a lot this week about maybe cutting Matthews. From what I've read about Pettine, CM3 seems like one of those play-makers he will scheme to maximize the 1:1.

He still put up 7.5 sacks while (IMO) he was miscast & misused. 

I have a hunch he'll be a lot better in the 2018 defense if they keep him around. 

I get the feeling “miscast and misused” is going to be a common refrain when it comes to comparing the Packers defense in 2018 to the 2017 crew...

Clem Matthews is the guy that briskly walks around the construction site with a 2x4 to look busy.  Doesn't really accomplish jack squat, but he tries to make it look good.  He'll come flailing about at an offensive lineman, fly his arms around like he's doing some kind of "pass rush move" and hits the turf. *hair swish*

Overpaid.

Speaking of overpaid....is Randall Cobb still a Packer?

Yes Cobb is still a packer as you are sure to regret next year. 

I admittedly perused the article finding war and peace a quicker read. What I did read was as inciteful as the sunrise forecast.

You know, that guy you traded a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th to draft.  That guy who had all of 2 receptions one year.  Go on, tell us what a great Viking he was, how you got such great value and use from all those draft picks you traded away.  And you say the Packers overpay?  Your as much a dumbass as Very Special Jeenyus.   13.

The only concern I've ever had about Clay is his injuries.  On the field he clearly did everything he could to help the team.  The construction analogy above is just stupid.

I wasn't a fan of the Corswazzle Patterson trade-up.  Way too many good players available in that draft class of '13. 

Speaking of which, where's Datone Jones playing nowadays? LOL!!  Nuke Hopkins, Zach Ertz or Darius Slay sure would've looked good in that G helmet, huh?  Thanks Ted.

At least the Vikes didn't commit 10 mill/per year for him like Cobb.  Vikes made up for the Corsnazzle kerfuffle that same draft class by signing an undrafted free agent named.....

Adam Thielen. 

Hell, the Packers drafted Pro Bowler Micah Hyde that year.

Exactly I would bet quite a bit that the improvement on D will be very profound this year.  As for Mathews and Cobb I don't think either one is going anywhere yet.  Maybe after next season but I don't think there will be anything really drastic come their way just yet. 

I have to admit, I am impressed with Bukkake.  He knows way more about the Packers than I would ever even care to know about the Vikings (and I live smack dab in the middle of Viking country).

Might be a case of "know thy enemy"...might be a case of jealousy....might be that Bukkake used to be a Packer fan...might be he/she is really good at using Google
